Class Of 2016 Itching For Prime Time

It’s kind of funny that  the year we are graduating so many exciting big guards like Courtney Williams, Veja Hamilton and Jessika Palmer that we would have so many exciting small guards barely standing in at 5’0 like Adriiana Jackson and Bernesha Peters step right into to starting roles at their high schools as freshmen. I guess the irony will continue with the area 2016 class as the two kids that I’ve seen who are simply ahead of the pack are Angela Harris and Faith Cook, above, both not much bigger than Jackson and Peters however before it’s all said and done Janvier Branch, below, may top everyone and I’m not just speaking about height. This class appears to be more on the blue collar side and the kids I hear about over and over all seem to have unreal work ethics and this is a wonderful thing because being a middle school star does not necessarily equate to being a star player in high school, in fact more times than not I’ve seen players who were ahead of the game either with skills, athleticism or both, get passed by because the rested on their laurels.
