Austin Elite Black continues to roll

I’ve always enjoyed watching Haley Frias play and over the years, I have seen the maturity and development on the floor. She could always soot the long ball, no question about that but there are several long ball shooters who can’t think the game and are not complete players, Frias isn’t one of them. She, along with Caitlyn Buttram and Maddie Anderson are off to a hot start in 2013. First, they win a state championship at Georgetown and now they are putting on shows during the club season for Austin Elite-Black. The game starts at the one, well Buttram has shown that as she controls the tempo and gets the ball to right people at right time, again Georgetown won the state championship. Anderson just keeps getting better and it shows every time she steps on the court.

Aside from the Georgetown threesome, Austin Elite Black is solid and is making some noise early in the club season. Ariana Marks had multiple games with multiple threes while Sianne Johnson, who is only an eighth grader, is  handling her business against the “big girls” and shows a lot of promise. Speaking of promise, remember this name, Courtney Brown and doing what she did at 6’2 earns her a spot on the “Tip Sheet” coming Thursday
