Allie Buchanan steaming it up for Lake Dallas

I caught Allie Buchanan playing prior to her entering high school and I saw the potential combined with the skillset as well as the size, she stands at “the magic number” and once again, that’s 6’0. She is coming off two successful high school seasons however what I’m seeing even more is her continuous progression and desire to get better. Yeah she could finish, bit she now doing it with either hand after contact and yes she could shoot the three, however, her “catch and shooting” with accuracy has given her more options on the offensive end, especially when you factor in she can put it on the floor and score

Her Falcons high school team has started the season off at 9-4, they’re undefeated in district play and some of their losses have not only been nailbiting down to the wire games including coming up short against TABC Top 25 ranked teams in Texas. Buchanan is averaging just under a double-double but she’s also giving more trouble-trouble by doing those things that may not necessarily show up on the stat sheet or box score, check out the video
