Alamo City Hoops I-35 HS Showdown 2025 Top Performers
Standout freshmen, either now or on the verge of, were prevalent, and here ya go
Aniya Foy-6’0 (Cinco Ranch HS) long and athletic is always the base yet she adds so much more like scoring off the dribble and dropping the mid to long-range and that in itself, combined with her height makes her a #BCSLock yet she plays the passing lane, that leads to baskets, she rebounds and blocks shots but her court vision adds so much more to her game
Kenidi Glover-5’10 (Duncanville HS) is probably one of the most powerful players in Texas, any class, and watching her score with multipole players hanging on her is becoming the norm yet her short jumper as well as rebounding on both ends, yea she scores on putbacks and she defends
Kaylinn Kemp-5’8 (Duncanville HS) the deceptive first step coupled with “long and athletic” makes her hard to defend in itself yet when she’s dropping the long ball, hard becomes a nightmare because the defense is guessing which puts her in complete control yet it helps she can handle the ball and sees the floor
Ruke Ogbevire-5’7 (Fulshear HS) the first step is so explosive and her powerful finishes are “eye-openers” right now but she also has the nice pull-up combined with the HEZ enables her to just score however she wants. Solid defender and upside through the roof
Niya Waters-5’10 (Hendrickson HS) here we go “long and athletic” and is already among the top players that can play the passing lane, all grades included yet she understands how to slice to the basket and finish after contact plus her jumper is smooth and fluid, well consistent as well
Alaysia Gude-5’8 (La Vega HS) in the open court, or in the half-court, is explosive ad since she can handle the ball under pressure and finish with either hand, that’s going to keep creating problems but peep this, the mid to long-range is becoming deadlier as I type which is going to create numerous problems
Angela Carroll-6’1 (La Vega HS) size also matters when you can play and she’s powerful in the paint scoring as well as rebounding on both ends but I’m overly impressed with her defense and how she’s reacting both inside and outside the paint and with what she brings to the table right now, her upside is scary
Cra’Lajah Bradley-5’6 (La Vega HS) athletic off the dribble and showed her body control s going to put her in numerous and one opportunities but she has a nice jumper, plays the passing lane and drumroll please, sees the floor not to leave out “understands how to trap”
Kamryn Phoenix (Steele HS) had plenty of upside as she showed she could drop it from outside with a hand in her face and then she put it on the floor and did a good job of attacking and finishing as well as attacking and dishing the ball bur her poise and ball-handling under pressure was also impressive
