AGGIELAND Brings It #ClutchCityClassic

HOUSTON, Texas- Prime Time Sports Clutch City Classic was a hit, yet again and for more reasons that on the court. I had a chance to catch up with some old friends that I’ve been knowing for quite some time, some when many on the AGGIELAND squad played for TWELVE and some even before then, like Treece and Precious Daily as well as their cousin Sissy Thompson who had to be around six and four, along with their moms, when I first saw them, this wasn’t that long ago, yes it was, and the most surprising thing about the trio when I caught them on the floor is that they could all play. Yeah I had seen the older Daily sisters, Patricka and Meagan so all I can say is that there is some talent flowing through their veins
Four teams were at the Clutch City Classic and on the 11/12 grade group, Treece Daily still holding the one down as she runs the team, scores and defends. Sha”Diamond Smith and Zaria Richards did a good job as usual on the inside, D’Asia White & Amia Norman got to the rim whenever they wanted while Sailor Smith and Darby Hurley provided some offensive firepower
SISSY THOMPSON
On the 8th grade squad, Precious Daily is back and like older sister Treece, she understands the game starts at the one handled up. Sissy Thompson and Precious blew me away a couple of years ago playing up, well actually 4 years ago but their upside is, well up there and I tweeted NaLayjah Johnson is one of the most improved players I’ve seen in Texas over the past 3 years, she’s a scoring machine with weapons galore. Victoria Sheffield added some punch on both ends while Keaundra Kelly is turning in some BEAST like performances in the paint
On the younger squads, I definitely caught a glimpse of several talented players; so much is on the 7th grade team that I just smiled. Bryanna Turner has the right name although it’s spelled somewhat differently but she’s a talented guard, a lefty at that that attacked and scored at will. Rakia Lee is bursting with athleticism and is fast, with the ball and creates match-up problems all over the place but several others are definitely on the verge of breaking out

On the 6th grade squad, there’s a little bit of everything, Alexis Burton, Tatiana Butenko and Taylor Montgomerey can all shoot the midrange well, Montgomerey handles it under pressure. Reese Vivaldi also shoots the mid, she along with Jaden McMillan and Sierra Newman are 6th graders, McMillan is fast with the ball and can get to the basket and score, Newman also can get to the rim, finishes strong and rebounds
Taler Thornton is another 5th grader, she wears #51 the same number my daughter has worn since high school, at Texas A&M and now in the WNBA with San Antonio so I’m figuring there was a connection since Thornton was in the Bryan/College Station area, WRONG, so my little story on that went out the window, especially since this young lady simply left me speechless at times in fact she, Precious Daily, Bryanna Turner and Darby Hurley all made Tip Sheet from Clutch City Classic, click the link below
