Kingwood closes deal to the left at FBISD Tournament
I know I speak highly of the three juniors that happen to be on my Under The Radar list for Kingwood however one thing you can take to the bank is that I don’t fabricate stories nor embellish anything regarding talent and Charlotte Hodges, Gabby Stanton and Brooke Jolivette are D1 players. After watching these talented players who not only got better and impressed during the club season, I’m even impressed not only with them, but the Mustangs team as a whole. I mentioned to their coach I didn’t realize how much talent she had on the team, Gracie Chong has tremendous upside, she’s long and can shoot, Inne Cheetham-West is super athletic and brings lots of energy along with acrobatics while Cheyenne Nickels can simply nail it from just about any area code you dial. Madison Brabram also proved she ccould score either going baseline to the basket ar just drilling it from midrange
The game starts at the one, Stanton has legitimized herself as one of the top points in the state, several colleges at the FBISD Tournament were ready to offer her on the spot as she weaved through traffic, dropped bombs from the hospitality room or simply gave her teammates amazing passes for point blank baskets. Jolivette has simply emerged as a player that can either take you off the dribble and hit the mid-range or finish with flair ala and one and she enjoys the punishment, well I don’t know if she really does, but she smiles afterwards so…… Hodges has just returned from volleyball, this kid has just simply continued to work on her flaws and being right at six feet, with guard like skills and throw in the fact that she can score with her back to the basket or facing it from everywhere on the court sort of tells you the story, colleges love six footers that can shoot
The won Consolation here, there eye is definitely on the District 13 prize and beyond and I’ll be watching closely
