2013 TX Fall Elite Combine Tip Sheet
STAFFORD, TX- Crossover Premier Coach Trey Phillips pulled it off with the Texas Elite Fall Combine as over 40 players and close to 20 colleges were in attendance last Friday to see something I always stress, #talentiseverywhere, especially in our great state. I’ll give you a quick rundown with some of the top performers from the camp, including my ever so popular Girlz Prep Report Tip Sheet, so here are ten to start with and I’ll break them down by class later. Keep in mind I’m spreading this out, several high schools had multiple players that could be on here so chill, it’s coming
2014
Angel Williams-5’6 guard-Bellaire HS
One thing’s for sure, she’s no ANGEL on the court and no matter what setting, practice, camp, club or high school, you won’t find a harder worker than Angel. She can score multiple ways and create havoc on defense
Jaylan Robinson-5’7 guard-North Shore HS
I never gave her a nickname but Zone Buster would probably fit as I’ve watched her drop close to ten threes in games since she was a baby, well almost. She’s expanded her game over the years and her catch and shooting ability is there with the area’s best
Ope Ibrahim-6’0 forward-George Bush HS
Talk about expansion of one’s game, Ibrahim simply went off at The Combine scoring from, well just about anywhere. Her athleticism is a huge plus as she elevates over taller players for easy baskets inside and that midrange was definitely working
2015
Unique Finley-5’9 forward-Hightower HS
Talk about being in a UNIQUE situation, a healthy Finley will speak volumes for the Hurricanes this season but she created quite a storm herself during the camp. She plays taller than her height; she’s strong, can finish and hits the midrange
Ariana Sanders-5’7 guard-Manvel HS
Sanders play will be pivotal for Manvel to get out of here; they already have the best frontcourt in the state, maybe country. She’s athletic, can defend and doesn’t mind doing the little things to help her team win. Her offensive skills keep getting better and she will never quit on you
2016
Jillian Cready -5’7 guard-Cinco Ranch HS
Cready is a player I don’t remember seeing however after her performance at The Combine, I probably won’t forget her. She’s a throwback player, picks her spots and uses them wisely to set defenders up. Midrange, three ball and ball handling were definite plusses
Dada Evans-5’6 guard-Elsik HS
Not many Evans since the ones from Good Times have entertained me as much as this young lady. She brings so much energy that it trickles over to her teammates and she’s a threat on both ends of the floor
2017
Julia Schwake-5’9 guard-George Ranch HS
Colleges love big guards that can shoot, well accurately and this young lady has expanded her game from just a three point threat. She’s putting on the floor and taking the lick and finishing against older players, always a plus
2018
Shae Routt-6’2 forward-Garcia MS
Before it’s all said and done, her name will be among the top players in the country and BCS won’t be a problem. She’s mobile and athletic, which at her age is a plus and she’s hungry and won’t back down from the “big girls”
2019
Kayleigh Truong -5’5 guard- Cook MS
She’s had one growth spurt and her arms make her appear even longer but let me say this; if Truong keeps progressing she too has a shot at BCS. She can score and more importantly she understands the game at a young age, always a plus
