2013 Flava All Metroplex
Between the Houston and Dallas areas, I’m talking about a 100 mile radius, year after year you can find around 100 D1 players and to be honest with you I’m probably low balling it. I search all over to find talent and in Texas, the hashtag I frequently use #talentiseverywhere simply works. I decided to go with five on the extra tip sheets I’m putting out since I’ll be coming back hard with a few team mini stories, this will also cut back on emails I receive telling me how to run what I do but anyway, here it is
All Metroplex Tip Sheet
2014
Jalea Bennett-5-10 guard-Team Ichiban
Simply a physical specimen that doubles as a guard. Her physique enables her to simply overpower smaller guards , she can jump out of the gym and the upside she possesses is mind boggling
Regina Garrett-5-10 guard-Texas Hustle
Garrett is also a very strong and physical guard that can do multiple things including defend and even more importantly, run a team. The game starts at the one and having aa big guard that can keep everything flowing is an asset
Alisha Washington-5-8 guard-Urbaan DFW Elite
Speedy, quick or fast, all fit this young lady as she can take defenders at will or hang around in the air and drop the midrange and I do mean hang. She handles the ball well and can take a lick while finishing
2015
Justis Beavers-6-4 forward-Texas Preps Elite Washington
She was raw the first time I saw her however a few months later showed she had been on the grill. As time continues to progress, she is going to simply amaze me even more as this gifted young lady is a on the verge of exploding
2017
Kayla Wells-5’11 forward-Arlington Swoosh
Long and athletic with plenty of upside is one way to describe Wells and each time I see her play, I see progression. She will be one of the names mentioned countless times in that “monster class” and I wouldn’t be surprised how high she ends up as far as D1
