Insiders-Black on the right track
The Houston Insiders-Black took a big step forward by winning the 9/10 Division of the Prime Time National Qualifier. This means both teams won their respective qualifiers, the Blue team won the HS Division of the AAU Qualifier but the main thing is I continue to see improvement in certain players. Erika Sydney and Kiarra McElroy are GPR Texas Top 100 players, make no bones about it and it’s goes farther than them leading the team in scoring. The addition of Ashley Caldwell, the teams lone 2015 player, has given the team more inside help and when you have athletic players that can potentially give you double-doubles in the paint on a consistent basis that in itself speaks volumes. Tasia Hayes is a very talented player and once she realizes how good she is, she will definitely make some noise and the same can be said for Carrie Bradford who has turned another corner as she realizes she’s a force to be reckoned with as well.
You can never have too many long ball threats and over the past two seasons, Alyssa Echelle and Kirsten Brown have provided points when needed, nothing changed in the qualifier as both had their moments. The two Taylors, Coleman and Ellison gave the Insiders athleticism and defense not to mention key rebounding in certain situations throughout the event which played a big part in their victory. Erykeah Lee is 6’1 and has so much potential bottled in and her size made a difference many times during the Prime Time Qualifier but one thing is for certain, some of these players showed they have next level potential and others aren’t far off. If this wasn’t confidence builder, then I’m not a borderline evaluating genius
