Alexis The Great

GTE Morris

The legendary Bum Phillips made several fantastic quotes and statements back in the day and one that fits with my evaluation of talent is what he said about the even more legendary Earl Campbell. Bum said “Earl isn’t in a class by himself but it doesn’t take long to call roll.” I go on and on and on about Texas 2017 and not only are we loaded throughout the state, three players in particular will probably be in the running for MDAA and they are all from the area. I saw Chasity Patterson first, and then DiDi Richards and I knew they were legitimate players no matter what age you put them in. I caught Alexis Morris later yet over the weekend; the DFW T-Jack star suited up for her old team, GTE Elite Gold and simply led me to tag her in a tweet “Alexis The Great”

Morris is actually from Beaumont however I consider anywhere you can go after the start of a Lifetime movie and make it back before it’s over the area. Speaking of area, Morris covers plenty of it on the court and her ability to score on anyone isn’t anything to take lightly because she’s going against the top competition and hasn’t even played a high school game. Her heroics helped lead GTE to 11/12 Grade title in the Prime Time Qualifier however as good as she is, her potential hasn’t been reached and how high she goes is up to her
