2027 Top Performers #AllEyezOnShe
Kyzarriah Fox (SA Lady Hoops) made the 17U All-Tournament team and Ki’Yana Moore (Waco United 15U) made the 15U All-Tournament squad yet based on rosters I received showing graduating classes, one more time, turning in NON-ERRONEOUS rosters are VITAL
Naomi Johnson (SA Lady Hoops)
Johnson impressed me years ago and I love yelling NAOMI when I see her because of her “poise under pressure” at a young age, I’m talking maybe 4th grade, told me a lot about what was coming. I don’t just make up things to fill in space, she has taken her game to yet another level showing she can not only run a team but take over a game offensively. Her first step is nice, and so is her body control but she also finishes after contact and drops it from outside. Her court vision, both in the set and in transition stood out as well
Aniya Taylor–5’3 PG (Phoenix Gold)
Taylor showed her “Taylor-Made” ability to control the tempo and set her teammates up for easy baskets. She has a nice HEZ to get the defender off balance after showing me a bunch of stuff on FRIDAY yet her handling pressure really stood out as she was doubled, sometimes triple team yet managed to get out of traps and split the defender. She can drop it from outside, she also saw the floor the length of the court but watching her apply “on the ball” pressure against the older players was impressive as well
Kyzarriah Fox (SA Lady Hoops)
Fox did enough to make that initial group I’m dropping later on the PGH Texas 2027 Watchlist because she’s already creating issues and when you factor in her size, she’s over 6’0, and she falls into “the draw” category because she fits several college coaches profiles. The even more impressive part is her upside, from where she was last season to now has me smiling, I love progression and I can tell she’s been working, and speaking of that, her “you won’t outwork me” mindset is one of those things you just can’t teach
Ki’Yana Moore (Waco United 15U)
Moore’s energy level sort of revitalized me as she was everywhere. Not only did she apply heat baseline to baseline, but she also did a good job reading the floor and if you pay attention to things I love to see, you know playing the passing lane is one of the things at the top of the list. I already mentioned her “wanting the ball” down the stretch, and delivering but her seeing the floor in transition, as well as in the set is ahead of her years. Her athleticism on both ends also stood out watching her attack and score or dish will keep creating problems
Honorable Mention
Audrey Richardson (Phoenix Gold)
Destinee Sanchez (SA Lady Hoops Navy)
