#AllEyezOnShe HS All-Star Team
Here is the All-Tournament team from the high school division. To all of those who submitted rosters, thank you, to those who didn’t, maybe next time
Camden Shields (TX Elite Austin) caught her a few months ago and I was pleased with her progression but she’s heady and does a good job of “playing within herself” which basically means she doesn’t do anything out of the ordinary, she does what she does and gets the job done. Her deceptive first step allows her to go by defenders and she finished strongly after contact but her court vision and dropping the jumper from outside stood out every game I saw her play
Arissa Alaniz (Hoop 10 Elite) 2026-did enough to be added to my next PGH Texas update in her class. Her ability to “change the momentum” gives her the #GAMECHANGER hashtag yet she also can take over a game offensively as her mid to long-range game was on each time I caught her squad. She can attack with either hand, as well as finish strongly with both hands but her court vision and making those around her better are just things you can’t teach
Layla Godfrey (Hoop 10 Elite) 2024– just BATTLED for everything off the rim and for that, she gets my #THROWBACK hashtag. Her interior defense was nice yet she also did a good job of defending outside the paint. She played the passing lane and had good timing but on the flip, she attacked the basket powerfully and finished after contact. She also did a good job of creating her shot and knocking it down with a hand in her face
Madison Harris (287 Elite) 2026-is an athletic guard that brought the heat on both ends as her baseline to baseline pressure and quick hands helped create turnovers yet other picking pockets, she showed she could take the ball the length of the court afterward. Her court vision in transition was nice, yet she also saw the floor in the set, and watching her blow by defenders to score was nice, so was her dropping the jumper from outside
Majestei Banks (287 Elite) 2025– falls into that #sizedontmatter category because she can flat-out play. Let me say this about back in the day when I first saw players her size outrebound and score on “the magic number” players, and that number is 6’0 so she gets #THROWBACK for that as well as being fearless and her explosiveness off the dribble stood out immediately, along with her acrobatic finishes. She also dropped it from outside as she elevated over the defender’s outstretched hands, she dove for loose balls and her “on the ball” defense was “smothering”
