2022 Shooters & Scorers #TJShowcase

MYA GUZMAN

Jaida Gomez (Austin Elite RFW) 2023– when you consistently show you can score double digits in a couple of minutes on a variety of ways, that speaks volumes but she can drop it from, well anywhere, and with her quick release, she has no problem getting it off

Addie McCormick (Phoenix Gold) 2023– she nails jumpers off the dribble, off the screen, and even knocked one down off the glass but her ability to create her shot and watching her “catch and shoot” JUST DID IT for me

Brylee Russell (TWE HS Red) 2023– creates her shot nicely under pressure,l plays within herself and lets it come to her but she can drop the mid to long-range with a and in her face and it helps that she also scores well off the dribble

Catyn Graham (Lone Star Magic) 2023– so many shooters on this squad, I bet the coaches can probably drop the 3 but I have seen her get on a roll and play around the world in the game while being defended. The release is fluid and the shot is consistent

Madison Hurta (Austin Elite RFW) 2024– she has always been a long-ball shooter yet she reminds me on the court that she is more, yeah she outrebounded taller players and scored on putbacks and yes she scored off the dribble after contact but I love watching her “let it go” from deep

Celina Valeriano (Uptempo) 2024– not sure if she can sing, I know it’s spelled differently, but those nets were playing a tune and she has a little flair about herself when she sets the defender up, even showed the step-back while dropping the long ball

Mya Guzman (SA Lady Hoops) 2024– I had her on the PGH NFR list but it was NO WAY I couldn’t mention her on here for her explosive weekend, not only dropping the long ball, she dropped quite a few, but she scored so many ways that my head spinning

KEYAIRA LIMUEL

Addison Borchardt (Phoenix 2025) 2025– she can shoot the midrange, she can shoot the long-range, she even sets teammates up for the HOME ON THE RANGE “alley-oop” yet I’m too slow to video it and too slow to stop her attacking off the dribble

Kaitlyn Le (Uptempo) 2025– started to save her for the NEW FACES article coming up but she shot it so well while being defended and one word, fearless pops into my head as she challenged anybody going to the basket but that outside shot kept the defender guessing

Keyaira Limuel (CE Elite 2026 Black) 2026– she’s over “the magic number” of 6’0 and it appears she’ll soon be over the rim as her scoring around the rim multiple ways took off this season, and so did her midrange game and since she is long and athletic, those long strides attacking were also impressive

Saania Khawaja (CE Elite 2026 Black) 2027– she will probably set some records in high school as hse continues to play up, up and away but her poise under pressure and ability to knock the big shot down, mid to long-range keeps my eyes glued to her on the court
