2026 Watch from 2022 Clear Creek Camp
I always get excited seeing new faces or faces I haven’t seen a lot of and this camp gave me just that. Yes, I have seen glimpses of many who were in attendance at the camp with their club teams but there was an abundance of players I knew nothing about so here are some incoming freshmen, three who simply stood out while the others showed plenty of potential
Aniya Brown– not sure if she’s related to James, Bobby, or Chris but watching her dance with the ball definitely had me thinking “I FEEL GOOD” but enough of my dated cliches no one will get, get this, her “on the ball” defense is going to create havoc because she’s athletic and under control, that showed even more when she attacked off the dribble and used very nice body control to finish, sometimes after contact. She also created her shot, under pressure and dropped the mid to long-range with ease
Aniya Brannon– scored well off the dribble, the first step is shifty and deceptive yet she also uses her size well around the basket to rebound and defend, she rebounds on both ends yet her pull-up jumper was also impressive
Ella Baker– I wrote “touchdown” because her 30-40 foot passes on the money were nice yet her court vision in itself was impressive no matter where she was on the court. She handles the ball under pressure and can score and (or) dish off the dribble
