2022 Winter Blast 6/7th Grade Tip Sheet

I guess I’m somewhat petty because I love watching talented young players that I observe early, many are tagged #D1Lock so down the road when these “people looking for attention” try and say they “made a player” I reference back to articles I wrote as long as 5 or 6 years earlier, that’s what I do so you know, I always try and keep it real yet in this era, it just doesn’t translate to many today is the start of the State Championship games in Texas, aka the SIMMIES, and my daughter is heading back to the Las Vegas Aces for training camp so my being at Prime Time and catching so many stars of tomorrow is still fresh in my head, so let me drop the last segment because it’s going to be a busy day, especially since I added almost 20 players to the 2022 class for Prep Girls Hoops Top 100+ Rankings

CHLOE VESSEL

Marley Crawford (Nemesis Crushers) long and athletic is the base, her upside combined with what she’s showing now is pretty impressive because she plays the passing lane and rebounds, pluses but things keep adding up with her creating her shot and dropping the jumper

Maddie Caldwell (Nemesis Crushers) strong rebounder, on both ends of the court, scored around the basket and on putbacks, also long and athletic

Belle Lindamood (Nemesis Crushers) understands how to create her shot under pressure and showed the pull-up jumper and also knocked it down

Chloe Vessel (Cy Fair Elite HTX 2028) off the dribble she’s explosive, on the jumper, she’s explosive and in the open court, you guessed it yet she also plays solid “on the ball” defense and factor in that mid to long-range and voila

Maleah Mason (Cy Fair Elite HTX 2028) by her being at numerous events I have covered, I know she’s playing up a couple of years yet when you still stand out against older players, that can play, you get the #D1Lock yet she scored off the dribble and using the jumper

Jordin Lee (Cy Fair Elite HTX 2028) is long and athletic, electrifying first step to attack and finish using good body control, which includes after contact and plays the passing lane

Lucy Hohn (Real Lady Ballers 2027) also long and athletic yet her timing on blocking shots as well as playing the passing lane was nice, so was her deceptive first step to attack and finish

Sophia Collins (Real Lady Ballers 2027) my initials yet her defense is better than mine was at the same age, well at any age but her intensity just grabbed me as she covered her man “on the ball” baseline to baseline

Claudia Morazan (Rod Jacques Basketball Academy) understands how to score both off the dribble and using the pull-up, in the set and in transition

Christy Rogers (Rod Jacques Basketball Academy) has huge upside because she’s tall, long, and athletic but her timing was nice to block, alter and (or) deflect shots

Kori Vreionis (Rod Jacques Basketball Academy) UPS means she can elevate off the ground and factor in she can handle the ball under pressure and score over defenders off the dribble, that jumper with a hand in her face is nice as well

Soohiel Revkauf (Hustle and Heart) scores off the dribble and with the jumper yet she creates bit while being guarded tightly yet on the flip, she did a good job guarding her man tightly

Riley Burnett (Hustle and Heart) nice pull-up jumper, while being defended, is always a good thing yet her playing the passing lane and handling the ball in the open court is also nice

Mia Maldoala (Hustle and Heart) strong rebounder and by that I mean she goes after the ball off the rim, good sign yet a better one is “she plays the passing lane”
