Duncanville Doesn’t Disappoint

Duncanville Perry and Forman

Kiara Perry and Tasia Forman

I called Duncanville the best team I had seen back in December and the conversations I had with my Metroplex friends Richard and Jack assured me whoever came out of Region 1 would probably win state. I’ve always been an Empress Davenport fan; love the swagger especially when you have the game to go with it, she will do some very big things at Texas. Morgan Bolton looked more impressive every time I saw her play and her spin move against Cy Falls and behind the back pass on the money against Dekaney not to mention that picture perfect release, Arkansas Little-Rock you have landed yourself a prize. Okay, what’s next for the Pantherettes? Maybe another run at a state title, especially since many of the top teams across the state will be regrouping as this talented group of 2012 players throughout Texas move on.

Ariel Atkins and Tasia Forman ELEVATED their games and you have to throw them in the mix of Top 100 player candidates for the Class of 2014. They took turns in leading their team in scoring during the state semifinals and finals and both have grown so much since I first saw them that just being there will keep Duncanville a contender for the next two seasons. Kiara Perry was one of the leading scorers during the season however she wasn’t during the last two, matters not, what she gave doesn’t appear in the box score and what she will give next season is a trio of three players who can take over offensively. Also 6’1 junior Antonia Robinson will probably step into the starting line-up, the young lady has already committed to North Texas. Also in case you don’t know Jack, his wife happens to be the head coach for Duncanville, so yes, I do know Jack, and Richard. Thanks guys!
