2022 Winter Blast 8th Grade Tip Sheet

Few things irk me more than my time being wasted with nonsense because those precious minutes may have cost me a chance to swipe right yet when I hear things like, “I have some players on my team, let me tell you who they are” or “if you need to know anything about my players, hit me up” and saying this to someone who has directly helped hundreds go onto to the next level direct and thousands indirectly, not leave out who’s OWN daughter had over 100D1 offers or half of what an EYBL club coach was bragging about his FOUR teams having combined, I just don’t know when this will end yet I do know talent and I do know who’s developing because when I walk in a gym and yell “What The Chuck” I know those players will be improving and overtake many that may be ahead of them now so here ya go

Sarah Drummer (Houston United 2026) sets the defender up nicely, strong first step, even stronger finishes. solid upside

Carlea Broom (Houston United 2026) handles the ball well under pressure, understands how to create her shot as well as attack the basket, has good upside

Jayda Kearney (Real Lady Ballers 2026) long and athletic is the base, scary upside because of her timing to block, alter and (or) deflect, runs the floor well

Neha Sasser (Real Lady Ballers 2026) is athletic, takes the defender off the dribble with ease, finishes after contact, and can drop the long ball

Isa Alaniz (Real Lady Ballers 2026) deceptive first step enables her to get by the defender, with either hand and finish strongly, with either hand

Katie Westwood (Real Lady Ballers 2026) creates her shot nicely under pressure, this is big yet she also can drop the mid to long-range which is even bigger

Abigail Spouse (Amarillo Lady Blue Devils) stands over “the magic number” which is 6’0 and it’s magic because it opens more next level doors so watching her rebound on both ends as well as her upside, can’t to watch her progression on the court

Keanu Allen (Amarillo Lady Blue Devils) attacks the rim hard off the dribble, solid defender that also rebounds and plays the passing lane

Angela Deleon (Amarillo Lady Blue Devils) creates her shot under pressure, showed she could knock the jumper down consistently

Onaya Gardner (Cy Fair 2026) understands how to use her body in the paint, finishes after contact, rebounds on both ends, also defends

Trinitee McFarland (Cy Fair 2026) long and athletic, applies heat on the defense end, “on the ball” yet she also has a nice first step which enables her to get by defenders with ease

Ma”Riyah Alfred (Cy Fair 2026) to say she’s a #D1Lock is an understatement because “her ceiling has no roof” figure it out because she’s explosive in the open court, she sees the floor very well and can attack multiple ways and finish using nice body control yet she also can drop the mid to long-range
