Milestone For Miller on Senior Night

Jade Miller did something in the 6th Grade that had me adjust where I was sitting to find out who she was. I was watching this small guard drop the long ball and I just had to find out her name yet when I asked her club coach afterward, they acted like they didn’t know who I was talking about yet “it’s about the kids” Fast forward to now, it’s gotten worse yet one thing that has remained is she can still shoot that ball and her 23 points from a variety of ways, the floater, the pull-up and the long ball, Miller eclipsed the 1000 point career plateau

Her journey has taken her through many obstacles which in a way has helped her grow as she will be heading to Dillard to play at the next level so to say she’ll be ready for whatever “is an understatement ” yet along with her scoring, her seeing the floor and threading the needle as well as diving, on the floor and applying “on the ball heat” all played a huge part in their victory last night against Rosehill Christian

Jade has definitely been a joy for me to watch, her progression over the years as well as her desire to get better and work on whatever she felt she needed to add just makes me smile, sort of like when I was taking pictures of her that first sighting and her mom charged me up asking “why are you taking pictures of my baby” and in mind, I’m thinking “I’m THE SIMINATOR, you can’t approach me like that” yet I smiled because I didn’t wanna get whipped and her the support from her family and friends have definitely been there for her
