2021 Battle In The Alamo MS Tip Sheet

ZOE LAZARIAH PERRY

I combined the MS Divisions 6th-8th, I caught as many squads as I could and I appreciate all of those who turned incomplete, non-erroneous rosters so here we go

NYILA BOTELLO

Zoe Lazariah Perry ( SA Lady Hoops DBlue) I wrote spin like in my heads keeps after remembering “the move” in the open court I ain’t see too many high school players do, let along a baby yet she ain’t no baby because she attacks and finishes strongly and has an explosive jumper, in middle school

Nyila Botello (SA Lady Hoops D Blue) razzle-dazzle galore, hard to handle right now because of her variety of moves with the ball and factor in the stutter-step, yeah something huge is coming but this is LOADED and she can load up baskets either scoring or assisting

Naomi Johnson (SA Lady Hoops DBlue) left me speechless the first time I saw her because I thought she was #sizedontmatter guard heading to high school yet she informed me she was going to 7th grade. Her poise, ability to handle pressure as well as apply pressure is ahead of years yet she can run a team and score multiple ways

Zahra Hill (Austin Elite Sparks) attacks from a variety of spots while staying under control yet her ballhandling and court vision at this stage is ahead of her years, so is her creating her shot which she can drop either in the set or transition

Nadia Adeleke (Austin Elite Sparks) you won’t outwork her, she’s a fierce rebounder that goes after the ball off the rim yet she’s strong and powerful and finishes the same way, this includes putbacks

Amierah Moore (Competitive Edge 2027) the more I see her, the more I know her ceiling has no roof because she’s long and athletic, young, and has a legitimate pull-up jumper right now yet she also has good body control and finishes after the lick, throw in “playing the passing lane” all bets are off!

Ryland Reeves (Competitive Edge 2027) is long and athletic, plays the passing lane, and creates her shot under pressure to attack and finish strong yet her defense and rebounding also stood out

Keyaira Washington (Competitve Edge 2026) showed me how good she was on defense the first time I caught her yet she can mix it up offensively as well starting with her first step which sets it off to attack the rim or she can drop the pul-up jumper with ease, and she plays the passing lane

Samantha Quijano (Laredo DCBA 8th Grade) creates her shot under pressure and knocked down both the mid and long-range jumper but she also attacks and finishes strongly

Kassy Lopez (Laredo DCBA 8th Grade) attacks off the dribble with a deceptive first step but her finishes after contact just grabbed me, both off the attack as well as the putback and she rebounded well on both ends of the court

Brooke Prevost (Sports 21 8th Grade) attacks the rim well, she handles the ball under pressure and finishes after contact but she also played good defense and rebounded

Hannah McDonald (SA Lady Hoops Red) very good upside, she’s strong, she rebounds on both ends and finishes with power on putbacks or attacking the rim yet she also defends

Sydnee Neunaber (Austin Elite TTR) understands how to take defenders off the dribble and finish yet her range, from deep, was pretty impressive because her release is quick and fluid but she also dropped the mid-range as well

Alex Hixon (Austin Elite TTR) she’s nowhere near the finished product which is scary based on what she’s doing now, stands 2 or 3 inches over “the magic number” which is 6’0, yet moves well around the paint and shows good hands and footwork and she rebounds
