’21 Prime Time 6TH Grade DivisionTip Sheet #NBC21

I didn’t get a chance to see all of the younger teams, I saw as many as I could so here are some of the standouts from the 6th Grade Division, the Just Play Elite 2027 has been seen by myself more than any of the others and the progression this team continues to show as well as players like Bailey Burns, Rylee Poindexter, and Noelle Swanson just has me beaming and I hadn’t seen much of  Fyrouz Abdalrahman yet her upside is really nice so this squad will definitely be in the mix.

I didn’t catch Champion Lady Drive Nation Nixon nor runner-up OK PWP 2027 which is a bummer but if our paths cross in any of the remaining events I’m covering, I’ll make sure and catch you EVENTS

MACKENZIE TAUTON

Mackenzie Tauton ( Just Play Elite 2027 ) heady PG that continues to show she can run a team, as well as score, mid to long-range, and off the dribble yet her ball-handling under pressure and ability to see the floor just, keeps getting better

Rachel Roberts ( Just Play Elite 2027 ) falling into that “finds ways to put the ball in the basket” which equates to being a scorer yet the relentless way she attacks the rim, yet under control, to finish is impressive, so is her battling on the boards against taller players

Sophia Reed (Texas Elite Flight 2027) mom reminded me of where I had seen her baby because I definitely remembered her yet a growth spurt, on and off the court had me drop #D1Lock in a tweet because she has a pull-up from mid to long-range, finishes acrobatically and can handle the ball yet makes the right passes and plays the passing lane

Cara Collins (Pro Skills 12U Elite) is another #D1Lock as I dropped one of her pics on the front of the page yet she’s long and athletic, that’s the base, she scores off the dribble with either and finishes after contact, with either hand yet she creates her shot, a legitimate jumper and drops it with a hand in her face and she defends, this includes what I love to see, she plays the passing lane

Shamya Johnson (Pro Skills 12U Elite) creates her shot under pressure to score from outside or attack the basket and finish yet she also did a good job seeing the floor and hitting teammates for easy baskets

Shamiah Taylor (DC Queens Juicy) is long and athletic, yeah it’s still the base and her upside is truly scary because her first step sets everything up she showed me that at an Individual Showcase but she understands how to create her shot and drop it from outside or attack the rim and finish and nows she’s showing the “float”

Brielle Mayes (MO Grind Elite) she just goes hard the entire game and whether she’s attacking and finishing after a hard hit, she keeps coming at you but her battling on the boards, both ends, and scoring off putbacks was nice, so was her defense but the jumper was pretty smooth as well

Destiny Etier (Texas U 2027) long and athletic again is the base, this is one of the profiles many schools at the next level look for, so what did she add, well her timing is nice, she blocked, altered, and deflected shots, she defended well and she attacked the rim from multiple angles
