The best high school team in Louisiana, St. Thomas More, finished third in the prestigious Sandra Meadows Classic. That teams two best players, Keke Veal and Kia Wilridge both made all tournament and along the way showed that they were legitimate Top 100 players as they battled against some of the top guards, Moriah Jefferson, Empress Davenport and Taylor Scaife, in the country to help their team finish 4-1 and place third in the whole tournament. This says a lot for these two young ladies who will be playing for McNeese State once their high school careers are over but what they learned going against some of the top players lets them know they belong and that they will do well at the next level.

McNeese State is making some noise and following their signees big Sandra Meadows showing, they took on defending National Champion Texas A&M on the road and lost by only 10.
