It’s On Classic 2022 Tip Sheet pt 2
If I sound like a broken record at times, I have to in this era because repetition matters and hopefully some get it, players on the court, parents off the court so let me fall back into why I say talent is everywhere, well that’s because it is and most people only see a small group, I’ve seen everything so I base what I say on what I’ve seen over the years, the game has totally changed yet I’m one of the few that understands where the bar was set as opposed to hearing something from someone that sounds like they’ve come out of a bar so here ya go with the non-guards
DC Queens SA
Samantha Carranza-5’10 F (Alexander HS) has my initials and my stamp of approval as she dropped the midrange with ease, that’s a lost art yet she also attacked the rim and finished after contact but her rebounding, watching her battle for the ball on both ends definitely was impressive
Houston Dream Red
Jazzlyn Nixon-6’1 P (Stafford) strong and powerful is one description as she rebounds on both ends and is intense. She also finished in the paint, did a good job defensively, good upside
Houston Queens (Hall)
Aaliyah Broussard-5’8 SF (Shadow Creek) she goes hard, attacks the rim strongly and rebounds the same way but she also defends well in the paint as well as on the ball
Brandlyn Freeman-6’2 P (Dickinson) she’s long and athletic, has nice moves around the rim and she also goes after the ball very well off the rim and gets plenty of putbacks
Keasia Robinson-6’2 PF (Dobie) her progression had me add her to PGH Texas Top 100, just seeing her control the paint on defense was enough yet her offense has taken a turn upwards
Peyton Smith-6’2 P (Dobie) long and athletic, does a good job rebounding as well as altering, deflecting and blocking shots. She also runs the floor and showed she could score
Just Play Elite 2022
Giana Vlahakos-6’1 C– she’s one of the areas most underrated players, not just posts, players because she is a THROWBACK that understands the simple things, like setting a pick and rolling to finish yet she has good hands and footwork so she can finish that way, as well as putbacks from offensive rebounds, which she also does well, on both ends
Lady Pro Skills Austin
Avonnie Justice-5’10 PF (Rouse)strong body, showed she can handle the ball and attack the basket as well as face the basket and score, mid to long range but she also rebounded on both ends, applied pressure defense and played with so much energy
San Antonio Lady Hoops 2022 Platinum
Clara Arroyos-5’8 SF (Medina Valley) her desire to battle impressed me immediately as I saw her slice to the basket and finish after contact but it didn’t stop there as she created her shot under pressure and knocked it down all weekend. She went after rebounds relentlessly and played so hard defense so guess what, I added her to PGH Top 100
Abigail Killeen-5’8 SF (Brennan ) she’s so powerful attacking the rim and seeing her not only finish after the lick but watching her create contact as well has always been great, she also can drop it from outside
Jada West-6’0 P (Brennan) if I had a MOST IMPROVED squad, she’d be in the mix because, well, she’s mixing it up on both ends of the floor rebounding, she’s running the floor yet her effort going after the ball, as well as an improved offensive game makes her a threat in the paint
Shooting Starz
Lauren Vela-5’11 P (Heights) strong around the basket, does a good job rebounding yet she can also handle te ball from the wing to attack the rim and finish or face it and score
Tatianna Brown-5’9 F (Heights) her athleticism has always been impressive and she does things effortlessly, rebounding, blocks shots or applies pressure on defense yet she also defies gravity with very good body control and finishes after contact and can shoot it
Supremacy Basketball
Iasia Goldman-6’0 P (McAllen Memorial) she keeps the ball high, has good footwork around the basket and finishes strong but her timing on defense to block shots as well as her rebounding is good, she also has a lot of upside
