Winter Jam 5th Grade Tip Sheet (2028)

KALEAH “LELE” HINES

Kaleah Hines (Krush Queens 2028)

Hines is explosive with the ball and watching her go coast to coast after rebounding with her speed, ball handling, and body control will have her fall into the “highlight waiting to happen” category. She also takes defenders with ease off the dribble in the halfcourt and showed a nice pull-up jumper so her ceiling is high, so is her elevation

Kashlyn Cooper(Krush Queens 2028)

Cooper creates her shot under pressure, finishes strongly after contact and does what I love to see, plays the passing lane. Her on ball defense was solid as well as rebounding on both ends

Heaven’leeyh Jackson (Krush Queens 2028)

Jackson got after it on both ends of the court, she attacked from just about every angle with confidence and showed she could finish after contact but she also showed she could knock down the 3

Molly Garrison (Oklahoma Storm)

Garrison understands how to create her shot under pressure, that’s big at this stage of her career yet what’s even bigger is she can knock it down from midrange as well as attack and finish

GRACE RIDEAUX

Gray Rideaux (Oklahoma Storm)

Rideaux uses her athleticism nicely, she’s under control and definitely impressed me by playing the passing lane yet she also handled the ball after the steal and showed she could attack and finish as well

Macee Pruitt (OK PWP 2028)

Pruitt does a good job handling the ball and makes good decisions falling into the “heady” category but she can attack the rim and dish as well as showed a nice pull-up jumper

Janiya Jones (OK PWP 2028)

Jones attacks the rim hard and under control, that will enhance her game down the road because she “gets it” now and being able to create her shot at this stage combined with handling the ball will all create issues

Caylee Kerr (OK PWP 2028)

Kerr understands positioning and does a good job rebounding on both ends, getting the ball out and running the floor. She also did a good job on defense

AMIRA HARRISON

Amira Harrison (Oklahoma Aces 2028)

Harrison has “feisty” by her name as well as “size don’t matter” because she can play and that includes playing the passing lane and defending yet she can also handle the ball, create her shot to either drop the jumper or attack the basket

Karsyn Ellison (Oklahoma Aces 2028)

Ellison attacks the basket strongly and finishes after contact. She also defends baseline to baseline, handles the ball in the open court and makes good passes

Izabella Cherne (KS United 2028)

Cherne attacks the basket strongly, finishes after contact and just battles for loose balls but she also rebounds on both ends of the court as well as defends, knocking down the 3 was definitely a plus

Siuanna Carter (KS United 2028)

Carter has BEAST in caps by her name, she’s rugged yet under control and her presence is commanding in the paint where she rebounds and finishes with players hanging on her

ALIYAH PRESTRIDGE & KAMARIA MARCY

Kamaria Marcy (KS United 2028)

Marcy has numerous tools to give defenders problems and lets start with her ballhandling, she’s mastering the crossover and in the open court, you can almost forget about staying with her as she attacks smart and strong and when you add the stop and pop jumper, that’s tough to defend but her athleticism adds to her game

Queen Chalmers (KS United 2028)

Chalmers plays the passing lane, I love seeing players do that and when you’re this young and understands how to do it, that’s big but her athleticism, basketball knowledge and attacking the rim are ahead of her years

Cambrie Blakely (KS United 2028)

Blakely is heady, understands how to set defenders up and can create her shot while being pressured, this gives her options to attack or take the jumper which is consistent and fluid not to mention I’m talking mid to long-range

Aliyah Prestridge (BTR Pink 2028)

Prestridge overwhelmed me at #Next100 I covered in Oklahoma playing against older players so I knew what to expect and she’s definitely on her way. She can handle the ball under pressure going coast to coast full speed and see the floor, attack the rim or hit the jumper but she also can control the tempo which is huge and she defends, this includes playing the passing lane

Andria Brown (BTR Pink 2028)

Brown uses her size well, especially in the paint where she showed she could not only finish but rebound on both ends of the floor. She runs the floor after igniting the break and gets back well

Shyde Bert (BTR Pink 2028)

Bert puts on the hurt when she plays because watching her attack and finish strongly after the contact over and over had me smiling at her progression. She’s long and athletic, yeah she also plays the passing lane

Kalani Kindred (BTR Pink 2028)

Kindred showed me she could handle the ball, multiple ways, all under pressure and and watching her create off the dribble, attack the basket and finish with contact while displaying good body control was very good

Nadia Traylor (BTR Pink 2028)

Traylor attacks the basket strongly, finishes with contact and just goes hard, yet under control. I love her upside because with her mindset right now, she is showing many signs
