Teaira McCowan (Brenham 6’7), above, and Ashley Hearn (Bishop Lynch 6’4) will be two of the highly recruited posts in this class, that’s a no brainer, the buzz has been swarming around both names for the last years. Let’s back track to the 2009, when Texas, well Houston had the top two players in the country in Brittney Griner and Kelsey Bone and both were about the same sizes as the newbies. As both players enter their freshmen seasons, it’s no telling how much they improve and both could possibly have a chance to blossom into legitimate Top 10 players but right now we’ll have to wait and see. This class has more potential Top 100 players than any I’ve seen in a long time and off the top of my head a double digit number isn’t that outrageous.

This is also a class that has everything you could possible imagine from the dominant posts I have named, to players like Jordan Hosey that will be able to score from multiple positions to kids barely over 5’0 tall, Bernesha Peters, Adriiana Jackson and Tana Driver, above, who will show you that size really doesn’t matter when you have the heart and desire to play at the next level, all three have a chance to do just that. What this class also has is point guards that will be heavily recruited. Lashann Higgs was almost a household name before she arrived from the Bahamas, Alexandria Gulley has already committed to Baylor while Kyra Lambert has admirers courting her from coast to coast, not to mention the super athletic Jazz Taylor.
