Girlz Prep Report Best In Texas 2014
Okay if you follow girl’s basketball, you probably know who Brianna Turner and Recee Caldwell are and if you don’t, they are locks for McDonald All Americans along with being two of the top five players in the nation. You may know these names as well McKenzie Calvert and Brooke McCarty. Calvert, along with Caldwell, has already committed to Baylor even though they are only sophomores, and she along with McCarty are also ranked among the top players in the country. One thing all four have in common is they play high school ball in Texas and even though these are four names you probably hear more than any others from the 2014 class, this is monster group of next level players state wide and many of them will make the transition from high school to college very easily while also being able to contribute off the top.
Michelle Nowkedi is a 6’2 wing that can consistently knock down the three and also finish with either hand in the paint. Tyesha Taylor is 6’3 and has a college ready body right now, loves to bang and appears to be on track to “BEAST” status every time she steps on the court. Have you seen Tonyea Boclair or Tiara Davenport? How about Dekaney’s Kayla Nevitt and her district rivals from Klein Forest Ekiyah Gray and Ebony Parker? These are only a few of the 2014 Texas Rising Stars and after the season starts, you will hear about more and more and even more players as Girlz Prep Report’s 2014 “Best In Texas” gains momentum.
