2025

Kynlee Kejonen-6’0 F/C (Barbers Hill MS) Cy Fair National 2025

Kejonen has some pretty scary upside because she stands at “the magic number already” she battles for everything she blocks shots and she finishes strong but watching her numerous “and ones” in the paint, yes, she finishes after drawing contact as well as her playing the passing lane tells me a whole lot about what’s coming

Shunteria Davis-5’9 G (Crockett MS) D-One Dragons

Davis has plenty of tools at her disposal like her mindset and it shows over and over when she’s defending established HS players in the two events, I’ve caught her yet she attacks with poise and confidence, finishes after contact and can shoot the mid to long but her stutter step in the open court is priceless

E. Riliegh Hairston-5’8 G (Clear Creek Intermediate)

Hairston was one of the standouts in her class, don’t remember seeing her before because she’s long and athletic, attacks the rim strong, and finishes the same way but she also rebounds, on both ends and has knack for put acks over taller players but she creates her shot and showed she could definitely shoot the mid to long-range

Andrea Sturdivant-5’8 PG (Hodges Bend MS) Cy Fair Premier

Sturdivant has been around for years watching her older sister and I watched her watch her, I saw how focused she was and you could see, well I could see what was coming so she’s one of the fastest players with the ball in her class and watching her zig-zag in the open court has her in the “nightmare to defend” group but she can create her shot as well as explode in the half-court

Chandler Carver-5’7 G (Baines MS) Cy Fair Premier

Carver is one of the most poised players I’ve seen at this stage, saw that last season when she went off against those heading to college at an event so the pull-up jumper is so smooth and consistent, especially when she can drop it from mid to long-range, what else is there. Well she’s gotten stronger and she’s attacking with power as well as finishing after contact

Bree Riley-5’6 PG (York MS) Texas Phenoms

Riley is athletic and understands how and when to attack the basket but her handles can hypnotize defenders, she has a legitimate crossover, and watching her go to the rim had me write “an and one waiting to happen” because she understands how to create contact and finish, that’s ahead of the game but so is her creating her shot and her ability to “catch and shoot”

Rachel Glynn-5’8 F Cy Fair Elite

Glynn does something I love to see and that is “she keeps moving without the ball” so as much as I love #THROWBACK stuff, I also enjoyed her throwing shots back but she battles in the paint, understands how to use her body to her advantage and can shoot the midrange as well as finish strong on the inside but when she showed the “catch and shoot” that was it

Sariah Fuentes-5’6 PG Texas Phenoms

Fuentes was definitely a treat, I love watching players that can make things happen in the open court and she definitely can and watching her attack the rim while being defended, under control and finishing, she just won’t be outworked but she also sees the floor, has a very good hesitation move as well as some nice fakes but that 3 ball, oh my

Madison Borjas-4’10 PG (Cathey MS) CBA Lady Diamonds

Borjas proves one more time that #sizedontmatter because she can play and her BB-IQ, her ability to handle the ball in the open court, yes she can push it or control the tempo but she makes those tough passes look easy, on the money for assists but that stutter step and reverse lay-up raised the roof and she also creates her shot and can nail the mid to long

Margan Allen-5’5 G (York MS) Lady Phenoms

Allen is athletic, she attacks the rim strongly and she handles the ball under pressure, I’m talking baseline to baseline against the “big girls” and while going full speed, she can either keep it or hit teammates on the money, that’s big but what’s even bigger is that highlight crossover she showed but even bigger than that is the fact that “she plays the passing lane”
