2018 Skilled Up Evaluation Combine HS Tip Sheet
Priscilla Williams and Jada Malone are definitely BCS LOCKS
HOUSTON, TEXAS- Lutheran North had standouts all over the place in both MS and HS sessions of the Cy Fair Evaluation Combine and the talent just kept coming at you after watching some of the top up and coming stars who have yet to enter high school, well some weren’t even in middle school, that have next level and beyond written all over them and the high school session didn’t disappoint one bit so here’s 21 from session 2
2019
Katia Gallegos (Franklin HS) definitely a pleasant surprise after hearing so much about her. Handles ball with either hand quite well, fakes and stutter step add to the package which can do a little bit of everything
Madison Griffon (Copperas Crove HS) does a good job of running a team, sees floor very well and makes the right decisions on who and where to get the ball
Kayla Pinson (Westside HS) never takes a play off, dives on the floor and loves to defend but she has range, long range that keeps defenses honest
Dyani Robinson (Langham Creek HS) I’ve called her one of the most explosive guards offensively in area and she continues to blow up as she blows by defenders for baskets but she also can shoot it from outside
Kyani Quarles (Cristo Rey Jesuit) force inside, rebounds on both ends, strong finisher and has good upside
Destini Hearne (Cypress Lakes) powerful moves inside, goes after everything off the glass onb both ends, keeps the ball high
Jordon Lewis ( Westside HS) caught my eye years ago with the knack for getting to the basket and now she’s finishing even stronger after the hit, good athleticism
2020
Arianna Sturdivant (Fort Bend Bush HS) another monster added to 2020’s Monster Class. When you can shoot the midrange like she can, this opens up many things, love the step back under pressure
Gianni Steward ( Brennan HS) plenty of players mixed it up at the Combine and Steward showed me plenty especially from 10-15 feet as well as getting to the basket and finishing strong
Jaedyn Dunn (George Ranch) in your face defender baseline to baseline, attacks from various angles and can score outside. Handles ball either hand and sees floor
Jayla Taylor (Johnson HS) when I say “explodes to the rim” it means just that and to do that takes body control to finish and she does, with contact
Geonna Waddell (Oak Ridge HS) does something I love, plays passing lane but she also handles ball well and attacks basket relentlessly plus she sees the floor and threads the needle on the money
Jaiden Eaton ( Kempner HS) very good at creating her own shot under pressure, shifty with ball and nice handle to keep defenders guessing
Fatou Samb ( Westside HS ) you can’t teach height, length nor desire, she has all of that plus she blocks shots, rebounds, runs the floor and finishes at 6’4
Priscilla Williams (Branson HS) when you drop 7 in a row from NBA range in 7th grade, I’ll actually go and ask who you are if I don’t have a roster but Williams has become more than a long ball shooter at 6’0. She’s handling under pressure and taking it all the way or the stop and pop plus defense has improved and she’s still dropping long ball from Missouri
2021
Raven Adams ( Ridgepoint HS) handles ball under pressure, gets to the basket and finishes, has range, mid to very long but that first step can create problems as well
Ashlyn Jones (Klein Oak HS) long and athletic, rebounds and defends plus has good timing to alter or block shots. Understands how to put ball in basket multiple ways
Aiken Semones ( Clear Creek HS) more than just a knock down long ball threat, has added taking defenders off dribble as well as nice pull-up from midrange to go along with three ball
Eliya Ellis ( Clear Creek HS) I love players that battle and those that show power, she pulls the Drake and Gucci Mane cause she does BOTH. Rebounds and finishes, never quits
Aaliyah Ellis (Steele HS) goes hard on both ends, variety of offensive weapons are complimented nicely by her defense and with her athleticism, she’s going to have plenty of options
Jada Malone (The Village HS) they say it takes a village well it’s going to take one to slow her down and she’s almost 6’5 , going coast to coast with the ball as well as stepping out shooting the mid to long range. College ready body, rebounds and finishes strong but she’s also defending on the perimeter, has MDAA written all over her
