Blue Chip Elite invade @PrimeTimeSportz #SWRegional
DESTINY SHELBY & NASHALLE DOMINGUEZ
Blue Chips Elite brought three exciting teams to Prime Time Sports SW Regional and I caught a lot of all three teams that are filled with talent and I’m just going to go over some of the top performers from each team
2017 BCE
Beyonce Henry stole the show early, she plays on the 8th team as well but when I looked at the class she graduates in, 2021, there was doubt she was a TIP SHEET LOCK. I haven’t seen a lot of kids play with this much poise that many years up like she did and had I not seen it with my own eyes; I would have had one of those bewildered looks on my face. ’17 Destiny Shelby was very exciting to watch as well, attacking from the wing or pulling up for the midrange, it didn’t matter, she could score multiple ways. Rayghan Jones stole the show at one point as she mesmerized defenders with her ball-handling ability, guards that break down defenders are always a plus and watching Courtney Clark in the open court was something to see and one play in particular where she blocked a shot under the basket and outran everyone, with the ball for a score was definitely an early morning highlight. Madison West showed good range from the outside and Dazhane Gassery was solid on the inside while Briconte Jasper just made things happen
ARIEL & ARECIA CELESTIN
2019 BCE
More Beyonce Henry doing it up, she put in a lot of minutes playing on both teams and staed effective, it’s great to be young. Nashelle Dominguez not only blew me away but blew by defenders with ease. She can handle the ball, sees the floor, good BB-IQ and loves to get teammates involved but don’t get it twisted, she can fill it up. Ariel & Areceia Celestin along with Kaylen Miller also were bright spots but the team has plenty of potential on it and I’ll get a better look of the whole squad next go round since I missed them entirely on opening day
JAMIA SINGLETON & KAYONTAH ROSS
BCE 2022
I got multiple looks at this squad and somebody stood out differently multiple times. Enrea Leigh-Bev Bougee was physical and used her body well inside, Samaria Gaithee scored inside, dropped the long ball and played the passing lanes. Caitlin Howard is long, scores inside and go coast to coast and finish with contact but hold on wait a minute, I am nowhere near being finished because that backcourt had me jumping. Kayontah Ross is definitely a BOSS and she can score in droves and that includes threes from the concession stand while her fellow #sizedontmatter teammate Jamia Singleton just left me speechless. She actually gets it, can score off the dribble, has a pull-up while dribbling, stops on a dime mid and long range and can handle the ball in traffic. This team is filled with athletic players that get after it, Sage Singleton and Wynae Jones while Toni Robinson is an athletic guard that can score from midrange
