2015 Insiders Basketball Classic NCAA Tip Sheet

 

CYPRESS, Texas-The NCAA Division of the Insiders Basketball Classic had several bright young up and coming stars that simply are o the verge of breaking out and doing big things. I’ve had a chance to watch most of these players numerous times throughout their careers and I was truly impressed with their dedication and progression. Here are a few players that stood out at the event

 

2017

Alanna Spencer (Phenoms) when you drop 4 threes in a couple of minutes in front of me, how can I not notice you but over the years, Spencer has continued to show she’s more than just a long ball shooter. Midrange and off the dribble give her an arsenal of offensive weapons

Regganae Allen (Waco Lady Panthers) I love young players that get “it” and Allen not only is powerful going to the rim, she’s plays the passing lane which enables her to get countless lay-ups. She’s explosive and is nowhere near where she’ll finsh

Madison Francis (Phenoms) the game starts at the one and size don’t matter are a couple of sayings you hear or read from over and over and Francis fits both as she is ice under pressure and nails on the court. She not only ran the team but showed she could score

Shania Hudlin (Waco Lady Panthers) athletic on both ends is always a plus especially when you can play and her defense was just as impressive as her offense. She can take defenders off dribble or create a nice jumper

Bethany Petsch (Houston Premier Blue) I know what I like more, her improvement or her upside but with her size, she has the tools to take over games and she showed it during a couple of stretches. Strong rebounding doesn’t hurt the cause either

Trinity Williams (Zero Gravity) nice inside moves plus 73 inches and athleticism are just some of the plusses she showed over the weekend. Williams doesn’t mind battling but more importantly she can put the ball in the basket

Marci Gabrielse (Dynasty Stroman) I loved the footwork and hands and as she stands at the magic number of six feet, she has the making to be a force. She put up numbers throughout the weekend as well as hit the boards

2018

Rayven Peeples (Northside Ballers) one of the state’s most dominant young players in the making, trust me. She’s strong, has size and is athletic plus her upside is scary as she simply doesn’t realize how good she is but she will be taking games over

2019

Amanda Ferry (Skyrise Blue Star) I knew she was going to be a force when I saw her two years ago and my tweeting to college coaches “don’t miss the boat” certainly fits Ferry. She’s powerful in the paint, goes after everything but can finesse her way facing the basket for points

Kate Petrovic (Skyrise Blue Star) big guards that can shoot usually find their mailboxes filled from college coaches and Petrovic falls into that category. The three and the midrange combined with her height and length will give her plenty of options
