North Shore ready for deep run

2014 CFFC N Shore Okoene Jackson

ALYSSA OKENE & ADRIIANA JACKSON

CYPRESS, Texas-The Region 3 race seems to come down to two teams, North Shore and Cy Woods and although they may be two of the most talented teams in the area, that doesn’t necessarily equate to winning a one game series when everything is on the line, aka, the playoffs. What I do know is this, if you have a tea that can apply pressure the way North Shore can, you better be able to handle it so I’ll start with the Mustangs and go over Cy Woods district next. The game always will start at the one and North Shore simply has two of the best representing the 2015 and 2017 classes in Adriiana Jackson, Dillard commit, and Chastity Patterson one of the top players in the country for her class. Both have showed they can put up numbers, handle the ball and defend in spite of their size but even more importantly both were getting not only each involved but their teammates as well and with that type of ball movement, along with the variety of weapons they have, I truly think right now they are in the driver’s seat

CHASTITY PATTERSON

One of those weapons is Kayla Mack, Loyola commit, who has played all five positions during her career but has established herself as an outside threat. She along with Tiffany Arceneaux joins the dynamic duo as players that can put up numbers quickly. Let’s add ’16 Alyssa Okoene who at 6’1 simply blew up over the summer and with her wingspan she not only alters and deflects, she’s doing a great job rebounding and getting the break going and when you have the type of speed not only among the starting five but with Deja Hughes, Tre Norris and Keydreana Howard, I’m thinking layups galore plus those three can also shoot the three consistently so you’re talking about seven LEGITIMATE long ball threats. Alyssa Vasquez and Shae Johnson also came up huge this past weekend, either by giving Okoene a break or going big with her and when you have a team that can throw an amount of combinations Master lock would envy, well let’s see what happens
