’24 All Eyez On Me 2026 Standouts
This group had a little bit of everything
Gianna Dudenhoeffer-5’7 G (Vista Ridge) showed a nice first step to attack and finish but even better, she used either hand for both. Her body control was nice as she finished after contact but also showed she could rebound and go coast to coast and score or dish. Her court vision in the set was also solid, as was her “on the ball” defense but watching her play the passing lane had me smiling, so did observing her elevate on her jumper and score. She also gave me the “catch and shoot” from deep as well as the midrange jumper
Natalie Weems-6’1 P (Faith Academy) stands above the magic number so her rebounding on both ends as well as running the floor on both ends wasn’t a big surprise, nor was her interior defense yet I was overly impressed with her defending her man “on the ball” outside the paint. She moved fluidly and showed good timing to block, alter and (or) deflect shots but her court vision was solid, she even scored off the dribble. Inside the paint, she gave me a glimpse of the “hands and footwork” to score
Taylor Larue-5’0 G (Bosqueville) is an athletic guard who immediately showed me she could apply heat on both ends of the court and the “on the ball” pressure she applied on defense was smothering at times. She understands how to force players into the trap as well as beat them to the spot so they would pick up their dribble but her “quick hands” led to turnovers as she stole the ball and took it the other way to score or dish. Her court vision in the set was also nice, as well as in transition
Beth Holt-6’1 C (Round Rock) was another player who stands above “the magic number” which always attracts next-level coaches and as she adds more intangibles, more will notice. She hits the boards on both ends, she also did a good job scoring around the basket, after contact and yes, putbacks included. I liked her timing a lot as she altered a few shots, deflected a couple, and blocked some but her ability to react on defense was impressive inside the paint. She also has nice lateral movement to step outside the paint and defend
Kamil Ajose- 5’6 G (Midway) has me smiling in so many ways because she plays with so much intensity on both ends that I had to take a FLASHBACK to when I first saw her. She’s another player I lost track of but she was on track making things happen by being heady and threading the needle very well. She scored off the dribble, dropped the jumper with ease, and step back was smooth but her “on the ball” defense was among the best all weekend as she picked some pockets and tied up players for jump balls
Lola Valentina-5’8 G (Westwood) applied “on the ball” pressure off the top in the “1 on 1” drill so seeing her bring to the 5 on 5 wasn’t a big surprise yet her intensity level was as she fell into that “never takes a play off” group. I enjoyed her variety of fakes coupled with a deceptive first step which included a slight HEZ to get the defender off balance so she could attack and score or dish off the dribble, and solid body control on her finishes. Her court vision in the set was also nice as well in the transition
Emma Hart-5’5 PG (IMG) has the right last name because “you can’t teach HART” but what I enjoy the most about seeing her is that she makes those around her better and let me set the stage. She gets to the rim as well as anyone in Texas, all classes included, and seeing her EXPLODE off the dribble in the set as well as in the open court gets my adrenaline going. Her acrobatic finishes after contact are nice, and so is her jumper from mid to long range but she sets up her teammates for easy baskets yet her “on the ball” defense, including her quick hands, creates turnovers and baskets going the other way
