’21 Prime Time 11/12 Championship Game Tip Sheet #NBC21

I wasn’t 100% certain on how long I’ve been covering Prime Time Nationals so I did what I tell people to do, used the search bar and it’s been over a decade and as I was scrolling from the countless articles I’ve put together, the players that I said would be this or that, I just smiled because always remember, $#talentiseverywhere if you know what you’re looking at and I’m breaking this down into multiple categories starting with the CHAMPIONSHIP game in the 11/12 Grade Division where Flight 9 defeated Fort Worth Lady Hornets 51-41 and here’s a breakdown of the players

BROOKE DIAL

FLIGHT 9

Brooke Dial-impressive first look, so impressive I’m adding her to PGH Top 100 because of not only what she did but how she did it. She’s athletic, attacks the rim, finishes after contact, and drops the 3 but she rebounds and defends, great upside

Camen Wong-another impressive first look for me because the game starts at the one and she definitely did a great job at not only running the team but her “heady” play as she scored multiple ways including the long ball yet her pinpoint passes just did it for me

Maggie Cho- attacked the rim and finished plus her solid defense throughout the event played a huge part in their winning the championship

Rachel Wang– set the defender up numerous times to attack and her deceptive first step got her to the rim with ease but she also handled the ball C2C and dropped the long ball

Gabriele Triplett – athleticism was used nicely on both ends, especially defensively as she applied plenty of pressure yet she attacked the basket strongly and finished the same way

Ashley Anderson – timing stood out initially as she showed she could block, alter, and (or) deflect yet she also did what I love to see and that’s play the passing lane but she also finished strong after contact

Sophia Wang– understands how to get hers in the flow, scored off the dribble numerous times, and plays within herself

FORT WORTH LADY HORNETS

Emelie Ezukanma-the 6’3 post put on a show on Saturday as she was virtually unstoppable yet her rebounding is what just grabbed me because she went after the ball off the rim, a lost art, and did a good job finishing, she’ll be added to PGH Texas Top 100

Takiyah Lewis-Strong rebounder, on both ends and did it with power but her defense inside the paint was solid as well

Sha’Coria Hill– dropped the 3, attacked basket from everywhere, played the passing lane which ked to baskets because of her speed and ball-handling yet that explosive first step was smooth

Rian Guy– consistently played solid defense throughout the event and this was both inside and outside the paint

Aniya Anderson– #sizedontmatter when you can play and when you have UPS as she does, that speaks volumes about your athleticism, and watching her rebound over taller players was just as exciting as her dropping the long ball

Ly’Taisha Jefferson– will be moving up in PGH Texas rankings, she just ran the 1 to perfection and understands how to set her teammates up for easy baskets but her ball-handling and acrobatic finishes coupled with her long ball shooting makes her hard to handle

London Lumsden– playing up with the older team gave her a glimpse of what to expect and she handled herself nicely so the poise, the heady play, and playing within herself were all solid, so is her upside

Deja Lumsden -will be added because watching her score at WILL and show no GRACE on whoever was guarding her just left me speechless. She’s long and athletic, mid to long-range, off the dribble, no problem, rebounds, defends, and plays the passing lane

Kathryn Lester– smooth as silk on both ends but her “thinking ” the game always grabs me as she has a nice first step to take defenders off the dribble, with either hand yet she also can finish with either but she sees the floor and shows a nice pull-up jumper both in the set and it transition
