2022 All Eyez On Me Individual Showcase MS Tip Sheet

The first session of #AllEyezOnMe gave me an opportunity to catch some new faces as well as the progression from those I had already seen before and a great man once said “Talent is everywhere” which was amended to “If you know know what you’re looking at” and as usual, I was right so here are the players

2026

Allie Williams-5’3 (Vidor MS) an array of talent as she left me speechless at times, the pull-up, and the ball-handling, all were solid yet that spin move JUST DID IT plus she scored off the dribble and finished with good body control as well as after contact and she sees the floor

Emma Miller-5’4 (Hardin Jefferson) pull-up jumper with a hand in her face was nice, so was her attacking off the dribble with either hand yet she handled the ball nicely under pressure and gave me that SPIN move I love to see, oh yeah, the crossover was nice as well

Kenedi Griffin-5’6 (Hardin Jefferson) I have always enjoyed her attacking the rim from multiple angles and her pull-up jumper shows me she’s been working, well on her handles as well because she’s shifty in traffic and has good timing to block shots

2027

Jade Williams-5’7 (Baley MS) long and athletic is the base, she adds a pull-up jumper and a very nice first step to attack the rim and finish after contact. Her ball handling in traffic was nice, she saw the floor and she also dropped the mid to long-range, showing the HEZ and UPS to rebound

Jasmine Travis-6’3 (Dobie Jr High) long and athletic is still the base, she’s 75 inches tall and with a very nice wingspan and timing, she blocks, alters, and (or) deflects shots yet she shows nice moves around the basket and when you factor in her “scary upside” watch out

Maddie Vickery-6’0 (Washburn Rural) long and athletic is what caught my eye months ago but her ability to block shots was overly impressive, it still is but so is her creating her shot for the pull-up as well as attacking because she elevates on both, rebounds on both ends and can go coast to coast with the ball. Solid defender

Addisen Burnett-5’5 (Pflugerville MS) creates her shot nicely under pressure and can either score off the dribble, this includes after contact, or drop the pull-up jumper yet she also has good timing as well as hands, came away with steals and played the passing lane

Maggie Marino-5’6 (Henderson MS) sets the defender up nicely with a deceptive first step to score off the dribble, attacking with either hand yet she dropped the pull-up so many times after creating her shot I just circled it because she had the defenders going in circles

Naomi Johnson-5’0 (Folks MS) highlight waiting to happen is what I called her after watching her the past 2 or 3 years but her poise on the court has always impressed me, she understands the game and can take over offensively in the blink of an eye because she can score outside, off the dribble or passing for assists yet her SWB, speed with the ball

Nena Alvarado-5’8 (Jackson MS) heady ballplayer who can get hers in the flow or make things happen by taking over, Her attacking the basket was one of the best in the skills, well the games too and she also dropped the jumper from multiple spots yet her court vision was also nice

Nevaeh Joyner-5’7 (Floresville) her pull-up jumper was impressive, she dropped that after contact and she did the same thing when she attacked the basket, finished after contact, with either hand, yet she got out of traps using the SPIN and her “on the ball” defense got my attention

Shamiah Taylor-5’9 (Tennyson MS) long and athletic guard with a devastating first step because it can leave the defender cemented. Her open-court handling of the ball keeps you glued to what she will do next because that “change of direction” is going to create some problems, as will her jumper and scoring acrobatically off the dribble

Serenah Coleman-5’5 (Beaumont) another SC left me speechless she showed she could handle the ball, score off the dribble, drop the midrange, and drop it from very deep but her handling was dazzling at times, so was her on-the-money passes in traffic, and when you add that HEZ in there, oh my

2029

Landynn Guzman-5’3 (Lytle) nice upside because she does so many things that don’t appear on stat sheets yet make a difference but don’t get it twisted because she also showed a nice pull-up jumper while being defended as well as scoring off the dribble. She also did a good job on defense

Lennix Matthews-4’9 (Folks) off the dribble with either hand is always good yet at this stage, it’s huge because she does it under control and scored but she also did a good job creating her shot to drop the jumper both in the skills as well as the games

Ari Marta-4’8 (Poteet) has quick hands as well as nice handles and she understands how to create her shot under pressure, that’s all good but peep this, she scores off balance off the dribble and when you have body control at this stage, that is HUGE. She also has a nice pull-up

2030

Lilani Amezquita-5’0 (Lucky Ranch) SWB means “speed with the ball” and she’s under control going down the floor showing the HEZ along with seeing the floor but her ball-handling adds so much more as she scores attacking or using the jumper but I wrote FEISTY on defense as she was “on it”

Aubree Banuelos-5’3 (Northern Hills ) showing the pull-up jumper as well as scoring off the dribble was evident in the skills yet it translated over to the game with ease. She did a good job “on the ball” defensively and her upside is solid

Victoria Smith-4’7 (Idea Ewing Halsell) she already gets it, watching her read the defense and know when to switch as well as understanding how to trap are all good signs yet they become clearer as she showed she could handle the ball under pressure to score attacking or shoot it from outside

2031

Monica Heard-5’0 (Bennie L Cole) can I drop an “I HEARD THAT” well “I SAW THAT” is what I should have dropped because she was the baby of the BABIES yet nothing rattled her and maybe it’s because he understands “long and athletic” is the base and let me say something else, her UPSIDE is unreal simply because of what she does and did against older players. She already has a pull-up jumper, yes a JUMPER, and can score off the dribble
