2021 It’s On Classic Tip Sheet
I think I’ll do this a little bit differently, I had a chance to evaluate a whole lot of players because “that’s what I do” and “there is no me” and I always like to say, “believe what you want” because the “proof is in the pudding” but I hate PUDDING, well except banana but nevertheless, here are some standouts from the 2021 class
Larissa Sanchez-5’8 G (Holmes HS) DC Queens San Antonio
Sanchez brought a variety of things to the table, first of all, she handles the ball under pressure well and sees the floor, either in the set or on the attack, and speaking of attacking she also did a good job of taking defenders off the dribble and finishing after contact. She creates her shot well, under pressure and knocks down the midrange as well as the long-range
Dreshira Brisco-6’0 PF (Dickinson HS) Houston Queens
Power in the paint, finishes strongly after contact and does a good job rebounding on both ends. Runs the floor, also on both ends, defends inside and outside the paint
Celeste Lemus-5’5 PG (Deer Park HS) Houston Queens
Heady PG that handles pressure, understands how to control the tempo and take defenders off the dribble
Narissa Blackwell-5’10 SF (Pasadena Memorial HS) Houston Queens
Good defensive player, uses her athleticism well on both ends, finishes on the inside, rebounds on both ends of the court
Salaya Holmes-5’7 G (Dickinson HS) Houston Queens
Athletic and creates her shot well under pressure, showed she could knock down the midrange as well as take defenders off the dribble
Trinity Frias-5’4 G (Heights HS) Houston Queens
Attacks the basket with either hands, finishes well and she does a good job at seeing the floor
