2021 All Eyez On Me HS Tip Sheet

ABBIE BOUTILIER

With almost 100 players in 2 sessions, I dropped session 1 first because I knew it wouldn’t take as much time since the vast majority of players were in the 2nd session and with tournaments back to back to back and so many notes as well as pictures, I wanted to have time to do this just right so here we go

ASPEN EDWARDS

2021

Lanie Douget5’5 PG (Johnson HS) SA Islanders-heady player that just has a knack for making big plays but she handles the ball well under pressure and sees the floor the same way yet her ability to not only create her shot from mid to long-range but knock it down consistently in the clutch just follows her in whatever setting she appears in

2022

Lexi Alexander-6’1 PF (Cedar Ridge HS) Austin Elite RFW– stock definitely soared over the club season as she just took it to another level but her strength and powerful moves have always been there to finish or rebound but her expanded range just puts kin her in a different category, not to leave out she’s a solid defender

Jada West-6’0 P (William Brennan HS) SA Lady Hoops– solid improvement over the years yet she’s showing she can dominate on both ends of the court inside, this is huge as she powers her way to score and overpowers to rebound yet these finishes after contact keep getting better, she’s hitting the short jumper, running the floor and playing solid defense

Mariah Dunn-(Waco Midway HS) impressive showing as she mixed up her offensive skills nicely by showing she could attack and finish after contact and also overpower defenders yet the mid to long-range was nice and it keeps whoever was guarding her on their toes

Karinna Ortiz-5’6 CG (Crystal City HS) SA Islanders– smooth as silk scorer that creates her shot very well and the pull-up jumper is consistent from, well wherever she talked it including very deep but she also attacks and finishes, sees the floor and plays the passing lane

Aspen Edwards-5’7 CG (Atascocita HS) FAM Elite– Edwards was simply hard to handle right off the top and the fact that she can create her shot under pressure and explode to the basket and score is one thing but that jumper was one of the best at the event, she elevated with ease over defenders and dropped the mid to long-range with no problem yet her defense needs to be mentioned as well as she definitely did a good job

Biraniece Jones-5’5 (Jersey Village HS)– Jones is athletic and applied plenty of pressure on the defensive ends yet her athleticism also helped her attack and finish as she took defenders whenever she wanted but the pull-up jumper, as well as the step back, also gave defenders problems

Tamia Moody-5’8 G (Clear Brook HS) she attacks so strongly and finishes the same way, even after contact but her athleticism also enables her to defend “on the ball” baseline to baseline. Nice pull-up, even when she’s tightly guarded

Erika Suarez-5’7 SG (Hendrickson HS) Austin Elite RFW– I can get hypnotized watching her shoot the ball, she just understands how to set the defender up so well to get her shot off that it’s fun to see yet she can also shoot it coming off the screen but more importantly, her ability to “catch and shoot” is very nice, so is her attacking and finishing after contact

Jamyria Ramsey-5’5 CG (Weiss HS) Austin Elite RFW-when you have SWB, the speed with the ball, under control, and can just make hard passes look easy, those are all big pluses yet she controls the tempo and also uses her speed to blow by defenders yet that same speed enables her to pick-pockets or play the passing lane on the other end, I guess dropping the long ball should be mentioned because she definitely has god range

Aziyah Oliver (Waco Midway HS) Waco Lady Panthers-her defense was impressive, on the ball baseline to baseline, and she understood how to trap as well as play the passing lane but she also attacked the basket strongly and finished as well as dropped the mid to long range jumper

Mercedes Perez-5’6 CG (William Taft HS) SA Lady Hoops-smooth under pressure is an easy way to describe her game yet she just understands how to set defenders up and watching her attack and finish or dish for assists has always been nice, so has her mid to long-range shooting but her court vision just keeps grabbing at me, so does her playing the passing lane

Jayden Hayes-5’4 G (Cy Fair HS) her defense was very solid as she battled for loose balls and did a good job applying pressure on who was she was on but she also scored nicely on the pull-up jumper, which she created while being defended and used her athleticism to attack and finish

Riani Benton-5’2 G (Dobie HS) showed a nice pull-up jumper but her first step is what got everything going as she attacked the rim with either hand and finished but let me also add that she saw the floor well

Ashlee Seymore-6’1 PF (Clear Brook HS) athleticism stood out on both ends as she showed she could “man up” outside the paint but she also showed she could drop the jumper and the pull-up from midrange was very consistent, so was her rebounding on both ends

Kaila Hamilton-6’1 PF (Hendrickson HS) Austin Elite RFW-her power in the paint definitely stood out, so did her moves as she showed good “hands and footwork” around the basket yet she also faced the basket and scored, she rebounded on both ends and played solid defense

Shaviante Cobb-5’6 G (Waco HS) Waco Lady Panthers– her speed with the ball has always been impressive and she still takes defenders off the dribble whenever she wants, good body control on her finishes but her jumper is solid, she plays the passing lane and defends well

Asia Smith-5’6 G (Waco Connally HS) attacks the basket from everywhere and does it under control, did a good job finishing after getting there and created her jumper under pressure, and dropped it with a nice pull-up

Brenna Welsh (Valley Mills HS) Waco Lady Panthers– not just a long ball shooter anymore as she attacked and used very good body control to be an “and one” waiting to happen but let’s not get it twisted, that long-range shooting is still there, as well as the midrange

Makayla Wilford-5’8 G (Round Rock HS) Austin Elite– very athletic and understands how to trap players, as well as play the passing lane but she also can attack and finish strongly, after contact and hit the jumper

Kori Fenner-5’8 G (Atascocita HS) long and athletic, attacks well with either hand and finishes or drops the pull-up jumper but she also plays the passing lane which usually leads to baskets going the other way, and has good timing to block shots

Aniyah Burke-5’7 G (Vista Ridge HS) Austin Elite RFW– one of the best pull-ups at the camp, she can do it in the halfcourt or in transition with the “stop and pop” but her release is quick and accurate but to keep defenders honest, she attacks well off the dribble

MICAH ELEGORES

2023

Abbie Boutilier-6’9 P (Flower Mound HS) Pro Skills– she has gone from just being a decoy player that rebounded to a legitimate BCS prospect and when you factor in her size, yes that’s 81 inches, no typo, you wonder what else other than rebounding well her speed has picked up and she’s finishing with either hand, no surprises there but she’s hitting the midrange consistently, stepping outside the paint to defend and of course, changing shots by either blocking, deflecting or altering

Micah Elegores-5’5 PG (Katy Taylor HS) Katy Crush– not only is she one of the most underrated point guards in her class, but she’s also one of the most underrated players in the state yet observing her play the combo, showing she could create and shoot the mid to long-range as well as score off the dribble, under pressure and after contact spoke volumes, so did her COP “change of pace” in the open court

Natalie Maldonado-5’5 G(Lake Belton HS) the pull-up jumper was consistent yet the first step set everything up for her on the offensive end, whether it was in the drills or game situation but she also played solid defense

Angelina Franklin-5’6 G (Waco HS) set the defender up nicely in both the drills and games and her ability to take them off the dribble with a nice first step enabled her to attack and she finished strongly, this includes after contact. Good ballhandler saw the floor, and defended

Laney Lyle-5’6 SG (Cy Fair HS) Katy Crush– solid performance on both ends highlighted by her intensity as she dove on the floor at the camp, that is something special but so is her range as she creates her shot under pressure and drops it the same way

Erin Lloyd-5’3 CG (Langham Creek HS) Houston UTD 2023 GOLD-speed with the ball and can pass and score off the dribble yet her outside shooting continues to add what she brings to the table which includes aggressive defense as well as heady play

Avari Berry-5’7 PG (Pflugerville HS) Austine Elite RFW-her poise at a young age definitely gave me a heads up on what was coming and she hasn’t disappointed as she’s one of the top PG’s in her class but she also can score, multiple ways including the long ball yet her court vision and ballhandling always stands out as well

Aniyah Sanford-5’5 PG (Langham Creek HS) Houston-UTD 2023 GOLD– her speed and jumping have just added so much more to her game, yeah she could run a team with ease but now she’s blowing by defenders and shooting the pull-up whenever she wants, mid to long-range yet her court vision and crisp on the money passes stood out as well

Jolie Aguirre-5’4 G (Moe and Gene Johnson HS) did a good job of not only creating her shot but seeing the floor, under pressure and I emphasize that so much, the under pressure because it’s harder to do, so is dropping the jumper with a hand in her face yet she did it with a nice pull-up

Leslie Forun-5’9 G (George Ranch HS) okay she’s long and athletic and also a guard that plays the passing lane and some pretty good defense yet she also has some nice fakes to get open, creates her shot nicely and efficiently to take defenders off the dribble smoothly and speaking of smoothly, that pull-up jumper was nice, so was her rebounding and going C2C for baskets

Jamie Reude-5’5 PG (Boerne HS) played the passing lane to perfection and her passes were perfect, and I didn’t even realize it was her until I looked at the roster afterward. She was added to PGH Top 100 after seeing her go completely off on that initial sighting over a year ago and watching her perform proved I was right yet again but her range as well as playing the passing lane were very nice

Lauren Stevens-6’0 PF (George Ranch HS) her defense caught my eye, then her pull-up jumper but she kept adding things like attacking the rim and seeing the floor but her going baseline to make passes or finish was nice, so was her putbacks from offensive rebounds, she did that on both ends but I guess her playing passing lane just did it for me

Fiona Hasse-6’0 PF (Lake Highlands HS) used her size nicely around the basket to finish with a soft touch but she also showed she could create her shot from the outside to take defenders off the dribble or drop the pull-up jumper. She also rebounded on both ends and played solid defense

Ny’Kyiah Jeffery-5’8 G (Cy Fair HS) Houston UTD 2023 Gold-one of the most improved players in the state, she has several things going for her because she’s long and athletic and her energy level stays high but her defense, including playing the passing lane as well as outrebounding taller players are pluses, so is her attacking and finishing after contact but the jumper is looking pretty good

Maci Quiller-5’10 SF (Hendrickson HS) Austin Elite RFW she’s long and athletic, has good timing to block, deflect or alter opponents shots., she rebounds on both ends and finishes after contact on putbacks, well off the dribble as well because she can attack the basket from just about anywhere. She also showed the short jumper, the release is nice and with her length and UPS, she has no problem getting it off

Michaela Fallon-5’7 G (Johnson HS Buda) did a good job creating her shot, under pressure and knocking it down yet she also attacked the basket and saw the floor well. Good ballhandler and made good decisions

Mya Peters-5’9 SF (Clear Brook HS) gets the #THROWBACK for a couple of reasons, she plays taller than she is, and she BATTLES, which includes diving on the floor for loose balls. She rebounds, attacks the rim, and understands how to use her body on both ends of the court

Jaida Gomez-5’5 G (PHS) her athleticism was nice, so was her defense “on the ball” and that pressure created some turnovers but she also attacked the rim using either hand to do so and finished, even after contact but she also can drop the long ball, does a very good job setting the defender up

Macie Whitfield-5’9 G (Deer Park HS) Houston UTD 2023 Gold– heady guard with nice size that can flat out shoot the ball is what I saw a couple of years ago but she can handle the ball, see the floor and make crisp passes on the money yet she is also vocal, on both ends, attacks the rim and finishes and with her defense, that almost completes the package yet that range is deeper so that’s another bonus

Kalika Gross-6’0 PF (Waco Robinson) uses her body well, constantly moving her feet on both ends, and falls into the “you won’t outwork me” category. She finished inside after contact yet showed her versatility by taking defenders off the dribble to finish as well

Kortlin Allen-5’6 G (Westside HS) athletic and does a very good job attacking and finishing, even after the lick but she creates her shot, a nice pull-u from midrange that she smoothly knocks down, even with a hand in her face and on the flip, that pressure defense was definitely on and helped create turnovers

Brenda Torres-5’5 G (Pasadena Memorial HS) smoothly creates her shot, under pressure and can knock it down with ease but she also showed a very quick release that enabled her to “catch and shoot” it well. Good ballhandler that sees the floor

Aryana Garcia-5’10 SF (Flour Bluff HS) uses her size and athleticism to her ad\vantage as she plays even taller. She rebounds strongly on both ends, did a good job defending in ad outside the paint plus she showed she could take defenders with a deceptive first step and finish strongly

EMILY ESPINOZA

2024

Madelyn Kincaide-5’6 G (Alvin HS) heady player that understands how to get hers “in the flow” and watching her pick her moments was nice as she created the pull-up with ease and knocked down the jumper several times. She lets the game come to her and saw the floor well

Emery Espinoza-5’6 CG (East Central HS) DC Queens SA– the growth spurt threw me off yet those long-range shots she dropped brought me back when I caught her earlier this season but her ability to get to the rim and finish strongly, her ballhandling and court vision have all gotten better, so has her defense plus the midrange id solid

Nyla Wold-5’10 SG (Katy HS) my first sighting got her added to PGH Top 100 and as usual, I got her game right even if I keep misspelling her name but college coaches love big guards that can shoot and she’s doing it even better than when I first saw her, that falls under progression yet her ability to “catch and shoot” is what really got me, so was her finishing after contact

Karlie Haigood-5’4 CG (Calallen HS) nice pull-up jumper that she can knock down both off the dribble and in the half-court set yet her range as well as ability to take the defender off the dribble was nice

Addisyn Parker-5’6 G (LaPorte HS) solid defense created turnovers and she showed she could create her shot which was also solid as she knocked down the mid to long-range almost effortlessly with a smooth pull-up

Logan Borchardt-5’8 G (Santa Gertrudis Academy)– the pull-up was nice, she did a good job of creating it under pressure and her release was quick but it was her mid to long-range shooting that was consistent throughout the event and it also enabled her to keep the defensive player honest as she scored off the dribble as well

Noelani Ajel-5’5 CG (Byron P Steele HS) DC Queens SA– she keeps showing me something new and is falling into that “scorers” definition because she finds ways to put the ball in the basket as she talked defenders off the dribble with either hand and can dup the mid to long-range consistently yet that pull-up jumper in transition is hard to handle

Mikah Johnson-5’9 (Cedar Ridge HS) attacked the rim from wherever she wanted while being defended and she finished with either hand but off the dribble, she also showed she could make passes on the money going full speed

Debi Hernandez-5’2 PG (Lee HS) I had to go back and look at her picture after seeing the notes and everything came back to me as she handled the ball in the open court, coast to coast at that and saw the floor very well yet she also attacked and finished, this after creating her shot which also enabled her to score mid to long-range

Noelle Raggio-5’11 SG (Cedar Ridge HS) Austin Elite Fire– another big guard that can shoot yet she can SHOOT it from virtually anywhere from 25 feet on in. She creates her shot under pressure or just spots up and drops it with the defender right there but she also showed she could “catch and shoot” it with accuracy

Alysha Garcia-5’0 PG (DHannis HS) DC Queens SA– size don’t matter when you can play and yeah she has the hashtag because she has been playing BIG all season in front of me, be it hitting clutch jumpers or clutch steals, she’s been doing it up so her attacking and finishing strongly wasn’t a surprise, nor was her court vision but her ballhandling and breaking the press as well as getting out of traps just had me smiling

Shakaira Ziegler-5’7 G (Copperas Cove HS) used her athleticism nicely, plays under control, and is very heady with her decision making but her defense definitely stood out as she was on the ball baseline to baseline and she attacked strongly with either hand and finished the same way, with either hand

Jocelyn Cole-5’4 G (Aransas Pass HS) she’s athletic and understands the simple things like “playing within herself” yet she can attack off the dribble in the blink of an eye but her court vision definitely grabbed me, especially her length of the court passes on the money for assists. Solid ball-handler with good upside

2025

Jenna Reude-5’3 PG (Boerne HS) solid ballhandler that earned the hashtag #sizedontmatter because she could definitely play and watching her take defenders with ease off the dribble to score, and (or) dish was nice as well as her HEZ, hesitation to keep defenders off balance

Reese Hoadley-5’5 G (Georgetown HS) nice first look because she did so many things right yet she’s athletic and under control and she understood how and when to attack the basket plus her pull-up jumper definitely was a big plus

Ally Ihler-5’10 SG (Salado HS) showed me a lot in a short span and watching her elevate on that jumper was nice, very nice because it will open many doors because of her size and length yet she also showed she could handle the ball after rebounding and going C2C several times to either finish, assist or drop that jumper

Savannah Salinas-5’11 SF (Boerne HS) scary upside because of her size and what she showed like “the spin” in transition as well as her ability to finish going full speed yet under control but she also creates her shot and knocks it down mid to long-range

Katelin Seymore-5’11 SF (Clear Brook HS) she’s long and athletic, that’s the base, and watching her play the passing lane was very, very nice yet so was her pull-up jumper which she got off easily and her upside is really impressive
