HOUSTON, TEXAS-It’s always enjoyable to me to spot new talent as well as observe some of the young ladies I’ve been watching for a very long time who have just added even more to their games like Gracelynn Alvarez, Nay Johnson and Precious Daily since they were in the 5th grade and have just completed their sophomore basketball seasons in HS so that really brings a smile to my face but one thing I’ve always stressed to anyone who can comprehend what I say and that’s talent is everywhere, if you actually know what you’re looking at and there were definitely some up and comers at the H-Town Hustle hosted by Prime Time Sportz . Rhonda Akpoyibe
11/12th Grade Division
Aubree Casteel-post (Intensity Elite Varsity)the more I saw her the more she showed me and that includes not only an impressive inside game but the ability to face the basket and score
Ashlee Leverett-post (365 Elite Blue) legitimately 6’2, huge upside, nice hands and footwork
Rhonda Akpoyibe-forward (LMBA) physical on both ends, strong rebounder and finishes well after contact
Jaidon Eaton-PG (Principles First) explosive first step, sees the floor and reads the defense, no fear whatsoever
Ella Smith-guard (Just Play Elite) scores multiple ways and has a knack for putting the ball in the basket. Snagged ball out of the air in traffic says a lot about her athleticism
Gracelynn Alvarez
10th Grade Division
Al Solis-PG (3220 Elite) steady and smart, knows how to run a squad and get the ball to the right person plus she can score
Precious Daily-PG (Aggieland) always had the ability to take games over down the stretch and she did just that in the opening game on Championship Sunday, on both ends
Gracelynn Alvarez-guard (Shooting Starz) one of the best shooters in the area, mid to long it doesn’t matter, she’s definitely hard to guard but that’s been something I’ve been saying for years
