2019 AHE Elite has plenty to offer

There is nothing I love more than spotting new talent and the Arlington Hurricanes came to Prime Time’s SW Regional as a Category 5 with a mixture of 2019 and 2020 players. From the 2019 group, Alexis Hawkins and Keara Williams both did a number of good things however that midrange kept dropping for both of them which is something that will take them far. Kelsey Adams used her athleticism nicely on both ends and finished strong with both hands, Trinitee Warren showed she could be a force in the paint, knows how to use her body well and Ne’Khyria Rogers did some acrobatic stuff on both ends and is a highlight waiting to happen

The 2020 group has some players that will make their presence felt almost immediately in HS. Avery Brittingham has a powerful name and that translates on the court. Okay she’s a BEAST inside, scoring at will, she showed me that on opening day but when I saw her on day 2 In the open court going behind her back on one possession, then spinning on a defender on another, I’m thinking what else can she do, how about a no look touch pass for an assist. Baili Williams and McKenzie Howard are promising players I’ve heard about while Jade Goynes is only a 2021 however you never would have known while she was playing against the older players. Tyaija Coleman can score from outside, saw that early but I also bits and pieces of other things she’s throwing together while her twin sister Tierney, just kept me mesmerized throughout the tournament and she made the Tip Sheet
