LEANDER, TEXAS- Always remember just because I say something doesn’t mean I’m always right, it’s when I say it over and over such as a player is this or that or what you’re doing probably doesn’t make any sense, at the end of the day, that’s what makes me on point because evaluating starts at the one that knows what their talking about. The 2020 Class gets their special Tip Sheet from Austin Elite’s Capital City Top Girl’s Exposure Camp simply because this class caught my eye years ago with an abundance of players I knew were going to not only be forces in HS but were next level locks and I saw many of them before their first middle school game. Here’s a brief rundown on the 2020’s I had a chance to see for the first time or have enjoyed watching them add even more to their games

Arrianna Faulks -5’9 guard (Ellison HS) college ready frame, speed with the ball and ability to thread the needle like a master seamstress but she can hit the mid to long, as well as score off the dribble and defend baseline to baseline

Amira Cole-5’7 guard (Weiss HS) strong on both defense, she loves to apply pressure, as well as offense as she gets to the basket and finishes with contact. Handles the ball well and can hit the outside shot consistently

Cai Wilson-5’5 guard (Anderson HS) explosive off the dribble, keeps defenders guessing with first step which enables her to get wherever she wants just about anytime she pleases. Saw the floor, made the right passes and scored from outside

Kali Garrett-guard (McNeil HS) creates her shot under pressure, attacks the basket well plus she hits the midrange from various angles with a nice stop and pop. Made plays on both ends under pressure and showed she could handle the ball the same way, under pressure

Hannah Wheeler-guard (Cedar Park) all I can say is she’s pretty darn close to a hundred percent and to show me the shooting exhibition I saw her put on a couple of weeks ago was no fluke, she did it again. Good range, mid to long and sees the floor well

DEVON WILLIAMS

Raquel Gonzales-5’10 forward (Akins HS) plays bigger than her actual size, nice hands and footwork, finishes consistently around the basket. Showed she could score facing the basket, rebounds and defends

De’Mya Young-5’10 guard (Del Valle HS) powerful guard that just jumps right at you, or over , it doesn’t matter. Extremely athletic with body control plus she can score multiple ways, rebounds and defends either inside or on the perimeter

Devon Willaims-6’2 post (Gonzalez HS) when you’re this tall and can do as many things as this young lady can do, eyebrows will be raised because with the soft touch, nice hands and footwork on the outside, it’s a gimme yet she can face the basket and score from outside and she rebounds on both ends

Jaaucklyn Moore-5’10 guard (Round Rock HS) long and athletic always helps but when you know how to use it, you’re in the mix. Plays passing lane, gets to the rim with ease, creates her midrange under pressure, solid pull-up

R’Yani Vaughn- 5’4 guard (Weiss HS) loves to attack basket and is successful not only getting there but finishing. She also sees the floor as well as dives for loose balls, a lost art, but her energy trickles over because she keeps coming at you
