2014 PTN Final 4 Tip Sheet 9th Grade
CARROLTON, Texas-The Final 4 of the 9th Grade Division was heated to say the least and after both the Oklahoma Stars and Waco Lady Panthers defeated PC Thunder and Air Max by close numbers respectively, the Oklahoma Stars won the championship going away. Here are eight from Championship Sunday
2017
Kayla Guillory-5’8 guard (Air Max Elite-Keller HS)-Guillory will definitely be added to the Monster Class list I’m compiling for 2017, she singlehandedly beat the press for assists with her speed setting up numerous assists plus she can score multiple ways
Hannah Dunning-5’9 forward (Air Max Elite-Decatur HS)-On opening day, Dunning was definitely one of the Air Max players that caught my eye by her ability to get to the basket however watching her battle after everything on Sunday impressed me more
Amber Strange-6’0 post (PC Thunder-Granbury HS)-Hands and footwork were on point as well as her knowledge of the game. Strong rebounder that loves to battle inside and doesn’t mind getting on the floor
Cameron Huddleston-5’6 guard (PC Thunder-Aledo HS)-Huddleston simply is one of the many players on the squad that can make plays. Her energy level stays high which trickles down to her teammates
Shekenia Green-5’6 guard (Waco Lady Panthers-LaVega HS)- Super athleticism and high energy are two ways to describe her but she scored every way imaginable and defended inside or on the perimeter
Elise Tate-5’6 guard (Waco Lady Panthers-Midway HS)- I love when players tell me I missed this or that but after Tate pulled off a triple double earlier in bracket play, I made sure to be around. Big Shot Tate hit the game winning three in the semis tohelp the Lady Panthers reach the finals
2018
Jessica Murcer-5’4 guard (Oklahoma Stars-Westmoore HS)-I didn’t take notes on Murcer, she attacks at will, scores with either hand and shows plenty of flair in her game. Guard her tight, she blows by, give her an inch, she’ll drain it from anywhere but with all of her tools, her ability to make her teammates better is one of the main reasons they won the championship
2019
Lauren Fields-5’6 guard (Oklahoma Stars-Deer Creek MS)-Throughout the event, Fields went C2C for baskets after rebounds. She can handle the ball and finish, high energy and super athleticism plus she can defend
