2014 Prime Time Nationals closes with a bang
CARROLTON, Texas-The 2014 Prime Time Nationals gave me everything and then some because right off the top, I was overwhelmed by the talent. If I have one regret, it’s not seeing the Texas Frontline teams again, I caught them earlier this season and knew they would make a run and that they did as their Blue team won the 8th Grade Division, without Addison Ryan who was at a Nike Camp and I don’t have time to go into details about her, use the search bar on my blog and remember that is a name you definitely want to remember. To top that off, their Red team finished fourth in the same division. In the 11/12th Grade Division, I said the Dallas Stars would make a deep run before the tournament started, they finished second to Team Texas Stastny and after seeing KJ Stastny perform on opening day, I knew they would be in the mix and the championship game was a thriller, one on the best I’ve seen in July period. In the 10th Grade Division, I watched the Waco Lady Panthers defeat Oklahoma Dream Elite Team in a game that several Lady Panthers other than the Benson sisters, Marie and Barbara, stepped up and to be honest, I didn’t think they had a chance against the star studded Oklahoma squad but they prevailed. In the 9th Grade Division, the Oklahoma Stars defeated the younger Waco Lady Panthers team but Waco having two teams in the finals speaks volumes and throughout the event, Oklahoma represented in multiple divisions which tells me I’m going to be crossing the state line a whole lot. I saw those three championship games, along with Oklahoma Select Red defeating Houston Skyrise Elite in the 7th Grade Diviision and D1 Shooters Destiny 2020 defeat Oklahoma Swarm in the 6th Grade Division. All that will be coming up along with Tip Sheets galore including one on the PBR Showcase Division so I’ll be swinging back and forth between here and the blog the rest of the week
