2014 March Fest UTR Tip Sheet

2014 March Fest Driver

2015 PG Tana Driver

DUNCANVILLE, Texas- Several of Girlz Prep Report Under The Radar players were on hand doing their thing at the DFW Elite March Fest this past weekend and in combining this outstanding event with one of my most memorable and knowledge filled sayings, “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against” works just fine. In case you’re what wondering my “Under The Radar” player list actually means, well it means just that and I’ve explained that I have a chance to see the Texas kids grow their careers and I have enough knowledge about the game to know what a next level player looks like, from BCS or D3 and when you observe national rankings, it’s not much difference between the 200th player in the country and the 500th player, many learn these valuable lessons too late. These young ladies I have listed below are legit, have arrived or have shown me they’re on the verge and here’s why

2015

Gabby Stanton-5’7 point guard-Cy Fair Jolivette- Stanton blew up last summer and committed to Arkansas however a coaching change has her back on the market. She can score, multiple ways however she is one of the best points in the state, knows the game and can run a team

Tana Driver-5’1 point guard-DFW Elite T Jack- Size certainly doesn’t matter and never has with this young lady and several mid-majors feel the same way. Good defensive player, can run a team, handle the ball and if needed score from all over the court

Brooklyn Jolivette-5’10 forward-Cy Fair Jolivette-“Don’t get shook by Brooke” “Safe bet is Jolivette” “Jolivette is definitely a threat” and when roll all into one, Brooke’s on the floor having fun. She’s a gifted player that continues to work, definitely can play mid

Charlotte Hodges-6’0 forward-Cy Fair Jolivette-First time I saw her, loved her hands and footwork in the paint and thought she had a shot. A year later, she was making shots facing the basket, from long range at that. Hodges is in a unique position at six feet with that type of range

2016

Cori Schnell-5’8 guard-DFW Elite- The thing that amazed me about Schnell after watching her last season was she knew how to figure out ways to score and no matter what the setting was, that was the case. Over the weekend, she continued to prove that she can do it when needed and 18 points in a half speaks volumes

Rachel Tapps-5’7 guard-Cy Fair- Tapps is one of the top defenders in the state, no question about that and she can also jump out of the gym. Strong and athletic, she can overpower bigger guards to the basket and her midrange game keeps getting better

Madison Schenck-6’0 forward-Cy Fair- I knew she had potential when I caught her as an eighth grader but I didn’t realize her work ethic, which is second to none. She can handle the ball the length of the court, I’m talking under pressure and she can score inside or outside

Jordan Stover-5’7 point guard-DFW Elite- Stover caught my eye as a freshman but after using the search bar I always tell others to use, I realized I already had her down. Let me clear the air, I love watching smart point guards that know how to run a team, Stover is that and then some. She can score and defend but understands the importance of getting everyone involved

2017

Bianca Hernandez- 5’6 guard-San Antonio Stars- This kid shot the lights out last year and I didn’t know who she was until her dad sent me a clip and then it registered. Okay, she can shoot the three but what else? This weekend, I see she’s been working too as her defense and aggressiveness have definitely taken a turn or two the right way plus she can attack with defenders on her, well and finish too
