2013 R3 4A Final 4

2014 ANN NWOSAH (LAMAR CONSOLIDATED)

Three of the TABC Top 25 4A teams remain in the R3 F4and I’ve had a chance to see all but one, Georgetown, who happens to be ranked #1. The Eagles will have their hands full with a Lamar Consolidated team, which I have seen multiple times, who have one of the area’s top juniors, Ann Nwosah. That game will follow Pflugerville Connaly who barely beat Beaumont Central against Tomball. Connally came up huge with tehelp of a last second bucket by Bria Freeland that won the game against Central, in fact they knocked off another Beaumont powerhouse the game before, Ozen, who came up short again. Tomball has been impressive all season since moving down to 4A and although I haven’t seen them since the Conroe Tournament back in November, I know what type of players they have and they are battle tested. One of those players, Carissa Diaz, is also one of the top junior prospects, so if I had to call it, the headline  for tomorrow would be “Battle Between Area Juniors” or something else clever I’ll think of by then
