2013 GPR Big State Flava Tip Sheet

2016 Dorian Branch

2016 DORIAN BRANCH (DFW SCHOLLEY ME)

I’m playing things through my head and with all of the talent in the Dallas area, I could have done a Tip Sheet just from there, okay that’s a done deal. It gets even better, with all of the talent on the various DFW Elite teams, there will be a Tip Sheet coming from what I saw at the Flava as well. That’s twenty more kids coming at you from the innovator but right now; take a peek at my mix

2014

Mariah Williams-5-10 forward-CA Ballaz (Vanden HS)

Long and athletic always helps and even though Williams isn’t six feet, she plays taller which to me means a whole lot. She attacked the basket at will and knew how to not draw fouls but finish in the process. She also defended and rebounded well and also read the floor which enabled her to get an abundance of steals

Chyanne Butler-5-5 guard-West Coast Premier Black (St Bernard HS)

There were several players to choose from on WCP however I chose Butler because of a three minute stretch in which she turned a game around. When you have players that can bring an abundance of energy and change the momentum, that speaks volumes and Butler being everywhere, either attacking for buckets, passing for assists or getting steals did just that

Nina Sato-6-2 forward-El Paso Sun (Anthony HS)

To say I was impressed I putting it mildly as Sato showed she could not only use her height for easy baskets under the goal but step out and hit the 10-15 footer. Her wingspan makes her even more deadly and along with excellent timing enabled her to block several shots putting her close to triple double status

Lauren Bradshaw-6-2 post-Texas Hustle (Mesquite Horn)

I love it when coaches say they haven’t heard of a kid so I can respond you should be subscribing to my service. Bradshaw put on a clinic in helping her team reach the 17U Open finals at Flava. She scored under, facing and even behind the basket and was relentless on the glass on both ends

2015

Jordan Hosey-6-2 forward-Texas Preps Elite (Manvel HS)

I used to pick on Hosey for being too serious and not smiling on the court however she’s laughing her way to serious MDAA consideration as her game has gone through the ceiling. Watching her go coast to coast is a work of art and she creates problems to defend and also to score on. The killing part is she still has room to grow

Sabrina Lozada-Cabbage 6-1 guard-New Mexico Select (Sante Fe)

I’m usually half listening at others when I’m focusing on talent and when I kept hearing this kids name, I’m tripping because I knew her. Well actually I knew her last year when she was five inches shorter and I’m just floored. Cabbage can score anyway she wants too and by now bing a forward with guard skills is a great position to be in

2016

Tamecia Blue-5-5 guard-WP Celtics (Dutchtown HS)

There are several players I call exciting and entertaining, add Blue to the list as this high octane young guard is overly athletic, she can handle the ball and you might not want to get too close because her speed will leave your head spinning as she blurs by. A solid defender that understand how to anticipate

Dorian Branch-5-10 guard-DFW Scholley Me (Richardson HS)

I saw this young lady in December and knew she was going to be a big time star eventually and she’s ahead of schedule in so many ways. She is playing around the rim and her shot was on auto this weekend as she simply scored every way imaginable. Being long and athletic, not to mention her work ethic tells me she’ll have options galore on the next level

Kiara Williams-6-1 forward-Arkansas Mavericks (Little Rock Central HS)

I tweeted I have three things to say about Williams, BCS and you can take that to the bank. This kid is a big time player, she may not realize but she is. She can score on almost anybody almost any time she wants from what I saw at the Flava, from just about anywhere. Not only did she score, she put in work rebounding on both ends

2017

Jo’Nah Johnson-5-7 guard-Oklahoma Select 2017(Edmond Sante Fe HS)

There is nothing I like more than seeing these young ladies excel, especially after I said they were going to be off the chain and watching Johnson only a few months ago told me this kid was the deal. Deceptively quick and powerfully built already, she can get wherever she wants on the floor but when she dropped the three ball trifecta in a tight game, I’m still smh
