2016 Prime Time Nationals #PTNBC16 9th Grade
DALLAS, Texas- Bracket play stars off wild, heated and heavy on the talent side as GPR correspondent Jim Johnson checks out even more talented young ladies from 9th Grade Division at Prime Time National
Raven Barnett (Madison Lady Stars) Gritty 2 guard with good size. Takes the ball strong to the basket and can hit an open jumper.
Aja Carter (Madison Lady Stars) Tough and scrappy 3 that fights for all she gets. Nice mid-range jumper.
Jenna Caskey (Katy Warriors) She's sneaky. You watch her game and look in the book and there she is with 15 plus points. Drives and gets to the line, knocks down an open 3.
Daniela Cano (Katy Warriors) Gives you what you want from a point guard. Distributes the ball, low turn overs, and gets you 7-10 pts.
Emily Reyes (FOE) Nice size for a natural 4. Good rebounder and has ability to be a good scorer. Creates her own shot.
Jordan Pennon (FOE) Big upside if Jordan continues to grow and progress on her post game. Good rebounder.
Naiya Brown (WGN Lady Tigers) Athletic, good size and strength. Good scorer and will get better and even stronger.
Taya Gonzales (Lady Flyers) 5'10 and rebounds well. Improved foot work will make her a strong player to contend with. Will get to the foul line
Kierstyn Krippendorf (Katy Rebels) She is going to get her points. Gets to the rim, either for baskets or free throws and can knock down the 3
Autumn Royal (Lady Flyers) Nice touch for a 5'8 2 guard. Consistently hitting 2-3 3's a game. Good defender. Would like to see her come back next year and attack the basket more. Good upside.
Maegan Adams (Katy Rebels) At 6'0 and still growing she's just a diamond in the rough. Get her with someone that will work and focus with her on her hands and post moves and you will have a solid big.
Naiya Brown (Texas Select Orange) Naiya has good size and strength for a hardnosed 2. She has been consistently scoring double figures, creating steals and turnovers and gets to the line frequently. A solid player to keep your eyes on and hope she's got a couple more inches to grow.
Bren Naisa Adams (Louisiana Superballers) As you can see by the photo, once this 6'3 post has you on her hip, it's over. Strong hands. Good post moves.
Ra'Von Robertson (Louisiana Superballers) This 5'11" 2/3 is what makes the Superballers go. She is athletic and flies up and down the floor. She can hit a jumper and drive to the basket.
