Prime Time #CCClassic 10th Grade #TipSheet

2018 Deija Cormier

DEIJA CORMIER

HOUSTON, Texas- The talent across the board in the 10th Grade Division of Prime Time’s Clutch City Classic was definitely a breath of fresh air because one more time, TALENT IS EVERYWHERE but that only applies if some actually is looking that knows talent. One down side, I caught a glimpse of both TX Elite Lady Warriors and Texas Heat but the was Deija Cormier took over the game down the stretch for the Lady Warriors was worth the price of admission

2018

Deija Cormier-5’10 forward- (TX Elite Warriors 17U) she’s still somewhat of a tweener but she plays like she’s 6’0 and her ability to score with multiple players hanging on her down low was good to see. When you can put your team on your back from the 4/5 spot against quality competition, that’s huge

Bebe Igboanuyo-5’10 forward- (FT Bend Barracudas) strong body and loves to bang in the paint and has a nice touch inside. Good hands and footwork are always a plus but she can be relentless at go after the ball

Hannah Rodriguez-5’6 guard-(LR3 Comets) smart point guard that can score just about sums it up but Rodriguez showed even more. She defended and actually talked on the floor to her teammates which is somewhat of a lost art

2022 Ashlon Jackson

ASHLON JACKSON

2019

Macy Braswell-5’3 guard -(HTX 2019) the phrase “shooter’s mentality” is what I saw on day one and that changed to scorer’s mentality on day two as she simply found ways to put the ball in the basket. Great range and quick release

Anissa Dussette -5’8 guard- (HTX 2019) there’s athletic and then there’s ultra-athletic and Dussette had me standing when she got the ball in the open court. She has a nice midrange game but she’s explosive from the wing and her ability to finish with contact was a definite plus

Naomi Tekleab-6’1 wing-(LR3 Comets) I might be stretching the height but her wingspan she’s even taller. Long and athletic, she showed she could do a variety of things but her upside is what impresses me the most

2020

Deyona Gaston 6’2 wing-(HTX Fire) she’s going to make a run at MDAA, that's McDonald's All American,  trust me on that and with all the tools she possesses on both ends, she’s shown me that she isn’t settling. She’s stronger, trust me she ran into me and she’s thinking the game but what always impresses me from a player of this caliber is that she supports her teammates no matter what

2022

Ashlon Jackson-5’10 guard- (HTX Fire) I playfully called her Action Jackson a few years ago so that name definitely fits because she’s creating problems for older players already. HIGH BB-IQ for any age, she knows how to score and when to score but she hasn’t even scratched the surface on the player she will become
