Prime Time #CCClassic 9th Grade #TipSheet

2019 Kierstyn & Skye

SKYE GEORGE & KIERSTYN KIPPENDONT

HOUSTON, Texas – Prime Time Sport’s Clutch City Classic had some pretty good talent this past weekend and the 9th graders were impressive across the board. I want to thank those clubs for turning in their rosters otherwise I probably won’t know who the players are and I was ever so happy to the Kimble sisters from LMBA, I played with their dad years ago and I see the talent and competitiveness in his daughters so let’s knock this portion out

2017

Summer Kimble (LMBA)-5’8 guard- one thing that I loved was her ability to attack the basket and finish with contact. She doesn’t mind diving for balls on the floor, she rebounded well and showed she could knock down the midrange

2019 Rice Dominators Deja Williams

DEJA WILLIAMS

2019

Kate Williams (Dynasty)-5’0 guard- once you follow me you’ll probably see a #sizedontmatter hashtag which certainly applies. Heady guard that creates issues by finding a way to be around the ball; Good handle, can get to the basket with ease

Kierstyn Kippendont (Katy Rebels) - 5’7 guard- she played in the right tournament because she took the 25 footer to win game one and when you’re this poised under pressure and this age, everything is uphill. Range is untapped

Skye George (Katy Rebels) -5’6 guard- she has the right name because several times it appeared she could touch the sky. Super athleticism, loves to defend and playing passing lanes but is also developing into a nightmare to defend

Deja Williams ( Rice Dominators Elite) -5’5 guard- a little DEJAVU because I’ve seen this young lady do some pretty amazing things over the past two seasons and she’s added some muscle, can get to the rim, take the lick and finish but the midrange and defense have definitely picked up

Kiome Dixon (Rice Dominators Elite) -5’4 guard-she was good last year and she’s added more like the ability to create her shot under pressure. A couple of moves she made in open floor actually had me stand up but when the mid and long range are clicking, her athleticism lets her blow by defenders who aren’t expecting it

Makayla Linn (SETX Power Elite)- 5’4 guard- when I first watched her score off the dribble, I’m wondering how did she do that but she kept doing it and showing a nice pull-up in traffic. She picks her moments and does it well and with another growth spurt, watch out

Shelby Ruger (TX Elite Lady Warriors 15U)- 5’8 guard- so many pluses next her name and her game actually spoke for itself. Not only is her first step deadly, that athleticism coupled with her ability to do some acrobatic things while hanging in the air definitely caught my eye
