2015 HoopAHolics Tip Sheet part 1

2015 HAH Wooten

CHELSEA WOOTEN

I explained earlier that no one covers an event like I do and if you’re not familiar with what I do, you may want to check out the archives because I don’t like missing anything which is my I’m truly an evaluator that actually knows talent. I’m bringing you all multiple Tip Sheets from Pass Tha Ball’s HoopAHolics over the next few days so please be patient because it will either be here or on my BLOG so PLEASE be patient and always remember when I say “the magic number” it means 6’0 or better

2020

Skylar Vann-5’9 guard- one thing I love to see in young players are those that have the ability to score multiple ways and Vann definitely showed that, off the dribble, mid to long range plus could attack off the dribble

Hailey Grant-6’0 forward- There’s an old saying “you can’t teach size” but like a lot of old sayings it needs to be amended with “when you can play” and at this size and age when you can handle the ball under pressure as well as get to the rim, that a plus but when you can also see the floor and throw TDs on the money, that’s huge but on top of all that, when you can do all that plus  hang in the air and finish, you’ve sold me

Erin Fry-5’7 guard- after two possessions, I already knew what I was looking at and she showed me a lot throughout the camp. She’s explosive off the dribble, can finish with contact and handle the ball under pressure so her being able to knock down shots from the outside was a bonus

Claire Reynolds-5’10 guard/forward- college coaches love big guards that can shoot but she’s gotten faster and just blew me away when she drove C2C and spun in the lane for an and one

Kenzi Carter-5’11 forward-just finds ways to get to the rim and when she gets there, knows how to finish. Long and athletic, rebounds well on both ends and can nail the midrange

Sydney McQuietor-6’1 forward-mismatch waiting to happen and at her size, that’s a no brainer but what she adds is she runs the floor and finishes well and as a bonus for me, she showed she can handle the ball from the wing and create her shot

Tamia Jones-guard-multiple sessions I wrote down defense and as I have flashbacks in my head, she brought plenty of heat on that end. Knows how to create, very athletic, handles ball well and can finish strong with either hand

Daylee Dunn-5’9 guard- she’s a strong and athletic guard that can handle the ball under pressure, take the hit and finish. Good range hit multiple threes and is something to see in the open court

Chelsea Wooten-5’5 guard- already has flair with her game, you want a no look you better be looking for it but she sees floor very well, handles it under pressure and is also a nightmare in the open court. On top of that, she can hit the long ball

Morgan Hervey-5’9 forward- she caught my eye a couple of years ago simply because I love players that do things you can’t teach and when you battle for everything on both ends in the paint, that’s a gift as well as playing smart. She can create her own shot, nice midrange and has strong moves to get to the rim

2021

Kajah Smiley Phillips-6’0 forward- plenty of pluses for this young lady is long, athletic and has already reached the magic number but two other things stood out, she’s a nightmare to guard in the open court and she can stop on a dime and hit the midrange in traffic

2022

Taliyah Menefee-5’8 guard- ultra athletic player that can go C2C and finish with but she also elevates over taller players for rebounds. Understands many things at a young age and knows how to get back on defense
