2015 Insiders Hoopfest Silver Tip Sheet

2015 Hoopfest Varsity Crossover

Houston, TEXAS- The Silver Division of the Houston Insiders Hoopfest was definitely an impressive one because I saw double digit college players from three teams, that’s a rap and many that are on the right track from the four that participated in that division. The Fort Bend Stars and Crossover both placed three players on the squad while Houston Premier added a couple for my Elite 8 and here they are

2021

Raven Adams-guard (Fort Bend Stars) I’ve watched this young lady for over two years and the first time I saw her I just knew she had a little something to work with. Adams can simply take a game over and her confidence shows when she steps on the court. She can score multiple ways, handle the ball and play the passing lane but when the bright lines shine, she’s ready

Genelle Greene-guard (Fort Bend Stars) This is my first season to actually see Green play however I’ve interacted with her at games numerous times and just listening to her break things down was a plus. She totally went off on day one but the young lady has a knack to get wherever she needs to be and can finish with contact plus score from outside

Aiken Semones-guard (Fort Bend Stars) It’s one thing to fool me with a growth spurt but usually I’ll figure it out eventually. Two years ago, I loved her fire and intensity plus the fact that she knew the game exceptionally well. Her range is unlimited, she is also taking players off the dribble better and perimeter defense has gone up

Kailey Perkins- guard (Crossover) Speaking of growth spurts, this young lady appears to have had one since I saw her last month but one thing she can definitely do is put the ball in the basket multiple ways. She creates well enough to get it off against anyone and as gets stronger, I’m not going to be amazed at what she does because it’s coming

2020

Shira Patton-guard/forward (Crossover) Love the energy and athleticism she possesses and the acrobatic moves make her a highlight waiting to happen. This kid is physical and she relishes contact but watching her attack off the dribble and finish with contact, major contact was something to see. There’s no telling how high she’ll end up, she has “it”

Bailey Andrews-wing (Crossover) Long and athletic works and when you throw in a deadly first step at a young age, you’re on the right path but her length also creates problems defensively either playing passing lanes or altering shots. I think she has a couple of growth spurts left that will have her around the magic number which will be great for her, not opponents

Amelia Thedinger-guard (Houston Premier) Smooth and sweet on the floor, she just knows how to do what I love in points and that’s make plays, make her teammates better and take over when needed. Yeah she sees the floor and can finish all sorts of ways but hey, she can also open things up from 22 feet and beyond

Emily Englebart-forward (Houston Premier) Long and physical, she simply pounded her way to the basket for baskets over and over and just for fun, mixed in some midrange jumpers. I think I liked the fact that she controlled both ends of the paint but watching her score off the dribble was fun to see
